The servers are nice, if still awkward for an American mind set on how the Japanese don't check in on you like American servers do. You have flag them down, which feels strange. The food we got was delicious. Selection was very limited with my shellfish allergy; they had very few options that don't include shrimp. But we found the veggie basket and it was delicious. I got it with the rice while my husband got it with the udon. We didn't realize this meant a full-sized bowl of udon for him, so his meal was huge while mine was quite comfortable. Overall very easy, pretty quick, and a good price (especially right now with the exchange rate). Might go back if we have a craving for...
Read moreMy favorite place to eat in Japan because it's near the hotel we were staying at. We had it three times in the span of 11 days. Ordering is easy via the tablet on the table, with multiple languages available. It was very quick too. We only eat at odd hours so there were no lines and we were immediately seated. My favorite is the squid bowl with rice. We could add cold soba on the side. The tempuras were crispy, the squid was fresh, with great sauce. Sometimes I added spanish mackerel. We got miso with every order and also tea is free. Overall a very great place if you want something crispy and quick, do come on odd hours (not dinner or lunch time) so they could seat you...

I strongly recommend the chicken tempura (better than a lot of Karaage I had!) and the vegetable tempura (especially pumpkin and mushroom). They also had an english menu. You have to wave the servers down to make an order, but it's a small place so it wasn't that hard, just be brave and say "sumimasen" loudly. I would love to come back...
