I was in the nearby area and was looking for a place to get lunch, and this was one of few in the area that wasn’t a chain restaurant. I’m glad I got to try this place as the tempura was both good and affordable. There was an option to get a bigger size for a bit of extra, but even the normal serving of rice was already plentiful - so much so that many female customers would request for less rice! I got the kakiage, and it wasn’t crunchy when served but it was still very good.

Finding a good tendon is difficult in West Tokyo. Found this place doing Tenjyu so gave it a try. The setting appears nice but there is a layer of grease in the air. Perfectly crispy, flavorful, everything fresh. Set menu was really nicely paced, vegetables punctuated by seafoods. We opted for the tempura-only meal (tempura with sashimi was also an option). The highlights were eel, sweet potato, and scallop. It’s a set menu, just sit back and let it happen. Service was excellent; attentive and thoughtful.
