I wasn't a fan of the ramen here but the experience was pretty cool. From what I could gather, they have two types of ramen here: a primarily peppery one and a sardine based one. The peppery ramen wasn't bad at all, just maybe a little too much for me. The chashu and other toppings were great. My husband got the sardine based ramen and found it to be too salty for his taste.

You order outside at a small vending machine. There is no English on the machine which made it a bit challenging for us. When we went, the first two rows were ramen. Each row had a picture for the type and the buttons corresponded to just ramen, ramen with an egg, ramen with extra meat, and ramen with everything. There are also some sides and teas. I choose a tea at random and it was very good!

The shop itself is very small and narrow. There's a restroom in the back and a faucet for water at the front. Everyone sits side by side at a bar, nearly shoulder to shoulder. They hand you the food over the bar.

Overall, I'm happy we went. It was a great experience even if I wasn't a huge fan of the ramen. I recommend checking it out if you're a tourist up for...

It’s hard to order if you don’t read Japanese. We tried to get by with the Google Translate app, but it didn’t go great. We accidentally ordered the anchovy broth and didn’t like it at all. That could just be the local taste so ok, not necessarily reason for a mediocre review. But I think the other aspects are not as good as in other ramen shops too. The noodles were okay but unremarkable. The char siu was quite thick, and its fatty parts were tough and not tasty. They didn’t seem to have cabbage. The egg and their specialty cube-shaped pork belly were good, but didn’t make up for everything else. It’s completely different from their Palo Alto location (other than the pork belly), so don’t come here...

I just walked into this spot looking for good ramen near by and it was very delicious 😋. I noticed I had to order my meal outside with the menu and pay machine. Overall I had a good time as the chief prepared my meal and it was quite empty at first and upon eating my meal many guests came rushing in as this place does have limited seating available. The ramen with the sardines was amazing as the flavor was very unique to this place. I definitely recommend visiting this place if you get a chance. I looked it up the next day and found out this place was a top place to visit in shinjuku. Lucky for me my hotel was a few minutes away and I came just...

Great ramen with a dried sardine broth and lots of toppings to choose from. This style of ramen is almost impossible to find abroad, so if you consider yourself an enthusiast, you'll want to come here. As mentioned by others, buy your tickets outside first. Pro-tip: Get a water cup from the entrance as you go in - the shop is pretty small and you won't want to go back for it. I've been there many times but this was the first time the shop had a fluent English speaker working there. A nice touch for tourists. She asked me for the size of the noodle portion I wanted, but didn't ask me about the spiciness level - something I've always been asked about before.
