THE LEGIAN TOKYO — Restaurant in Tokyo

I made an instagram reservation as I wasn't able to make one through their official website due to the no. of pax (min 2 on their website but I am a solo traveller). After reaching out to them through their official instagram, they responded and confirmed my reservation. However when I reached the establishment, I was sorely disappointed.

The staff didn't seem to be aware of the reservation and I showed them the dms. I felt that they tried their best to accommodate me despite the lack of reservation and they confirmed with me the colour of the bear dessert which I would like to get. Although I had originally wanted a flower table seat, I decided to forego it due to the language barrier. After I entered the dining area, it was evident the reservation had never been made as all the flower tables were already occupied.

I was served a welcome drink without a straw and after observing around, I noticed that other customers' drink had a straw. It was also evident that the drink had to be stirred due to the layers. I am not sure if they were particularly shorthanded that day but it was extremely difficult to get a staff just for a straw. Shortly, my atternoon tea set (without the bear) was finally served. I wasn't sure if I was able to request for changes in tea as this was not explained and hence, I didn't.

The staff were constantly occupied and I was unable to check on the status of the bear dessert until I finally caught the attention of a staff to say I didn't want it anymore. I was nearly finished with the afternoon tea set. Even though they just confirmed earlier, it seemed like they have also forgotten about it. The manager was very kind to provide service recovery by waiving the cost of the forgotten bear dessert, which is why I am giving two stars instead of one/none. Nonetheless, it did leave a bitter taste in my mouth. I have been looking forward to this reservation for weeks due to tiktok videos even before my flight to japan and even bought a mini tripod to take photos of the food, decoration and views but it was extremely disappointing for it not to materialise. I didn't even take much photos as the glare from where i was sitting was quite harsh. For a place which charges quite a fair bit, it was unacceptable.

All in all, this place is not solo traveller/foreigner friendly as this was the only place in which my reservation was forgotten and that the service was lacking (in comparison to all other establishments/reservations in Japan). There are better restaurants which I have visited that offer better food and services at a lower...

いちご大好きだからいちごがたくさんのスイーツ嬉しかったな🍓 個人的にはチョコミルクティージュレが他店では中々お見かけしないお感じで美味しかった✨ ミルクティーのプリン🍮みたいで舌触りもよく、優しい甘さに甘酸っぱい苺がぴったりマッチしてたよ🍓

セイボリーはサーモンクリームチーズのエクレアがさっぱりでスイーツのお休憩にGOOD✨ あとあとまさかのドリンクにスープメニューあって、そちらも飲み放題だったので、すごく嬉しかった🙏

広々とした店内は眺望が良く、非日常空間で気持ちも高まるっ✨ テーブルに置かれたコースメニューは謎解きとなっていて、何が来るのか想像するのもたのしいっ💭

まずは朝靄✨お皿の上にちょこんと置かれたのは白ハマグリの冷静クリーム✨ 朝霧（あさもや）が優雅に立ち込め、東京湾の水面が幻想的な美しさを放っている様子を表現した一皿だそう💖 登場時、ガラスの蓋の中に煙が閉じ込められていてスモークな薫りも楽しむことが出来て、最高の一品目❣️

花火はクロケット✨フランスのコロッケってお感じかな？？ 夜空に上がる花火っぽくお皿が、お野菜や紅芯大根でデコレーションされていて、クロケットの周りにトマトソースを注ぐとパチパチ弾け、花火が上がる音みたい🎆 カリッとクリスピーな外側に、ほくほくとろっとしたポテトが最高✨口の中で弾けるパチパチも刺激的っ✨

雲海はなんと、富士山をイメージしたお皿で🗻💖 グリーンピースのスープに液体窒素を注ぎ入れれば、神秘的❣️小さな雲海がそこに広がる🥹 グリーンピースの概念を覆すような優しい甘さで、すごく好き‼️夏にぴったりな爽やかな一品です✨

Four of us with reservation. We had a nice little room separated by a curtain .... and a great view of bland Shibuya buildings. Not the prettiest, and for that the rating loses a star... but it was nice having a cozy room to ourselves. Enjoyed the all you can drink teas and juices (self-serve), and the desserts were more than enough. I wish there were one or two more savory items, but that’s just a personal preference. (The afternoon tea set might have looked nicer if the sweets were laid out evenly after being carried to the table!) Nice overall atmosphere, and it was a good pre-marriage teatime...
