Tokyo Tonkotsu Base — Restaurant in Tokyo

A must for tonkotsu ramen lovers. This is the best ramen chain I've been to in Japan, better than Ichiran. They have a couple of locations but not many -- one in Ikebukuro and one in Makuhari (Kaihimakuhari station), and a few others I'm not sure where. I 100% recommend the black one if you like garlic. It's so deeply flavorful and has such a memorable taste. This location is inside the ticket gates, so you'll have to swipe in -- but if you're on your way home (like me after work), then it's a perfect place to stop by for lunch or dinner. Another busy train station food place. this is a sub brand owned by Ippudo. Waiting time is short, for me it was 5 mins If you’re getting off from Shinkansen, basically you’ll need to get out of Shinkansen side first, and get an another special “station ticket” to get into the JR side. And find this place nearby the supermarket. I would say that the taste is probably not as good as “real” Ippudo, but definitely better than the instant noodle version. overall a solid train station fast food choice that beats eating cold sandwich. After a long day of activities, we decided to visit a ramen shop conveniently located inside the station near our hotel. I must say, if you’re after something quick, reasonably priced, and of high quality, this place absolutely has it all.

From the texture of the noodles to the rich, flavorful broth and well-chosen condiments, everything was spot on. The highlight for me was the perfectly cooked, runny egg, which combined seamlessly with the other ingredients to create a truly satisfying meal.
