We were just passing by but tempted when we saw the menu. One of the staff approached us. She doesn't know English, we don't know Japanese but she did her best to talk about the menu and invited us to eat there so we excitedly said yes. Unfortunately, they only accept cash via the vending machine. So we said our sumimasens, the staff also said sorry.
But we looked for the nearest 7/11, withdrew some cash just so we can eat here, and then we went back but we couldn't figure out how to order via the vending machine.
Another one of the staff went out to assist us. Again, it was hard to communicate because we didn't know any Japanese other than the extremely basic phrases. But she did her best and after much struggle 😅, we finally got our order tickets and were ushered inside. Yehey!
We patiently waited for our food and it was all worth it. The store was open so the hot broth tasted even better as the cold autumn wind blew. The eggs were soft-boiled to perfection and the pork was tender and flavorful. The broth of both the ramen and tsukemen were just mmmmmm. 👌 Serving size was also big. A bit disappointed that they don't serve gyoza (we always order gyoza with ramen. It's a must!) but other than that, the whole experience was great! 🩷
Bonus were the really friendly and helpful staff. They even said goodbye with big smiles on their...
Read moreMy partner and I stumbled upon this ramen restaurant on one of our last nights in Tokyo, and we can honestly say it was one of our best meals while in Japan. The ramen broth is well balanced; there wasn’t too much of any one ingredient and it was not overpowered by dashi. My partner got the tsukenien and followed the directions on how to best enjoy the meal. Every bite got better and better for him. The vibes are immaculate as well. There is music playing, but not so loud that u couldn’t hear the servers or my husband. The water was ice cold which was refreshing after a long day in high heat and humidity. We’re sad that we didn’t come upon this restaurant sooner, but it will be at the top of our list for our next trip to Japan. My partner even said that it was one of the best things he’s ever eaten in his entire life (impressive because he’s a well...
Read moreThis is a boy’s trip, and my son loves Japanese ramen a lot, so we drive here based on the comments and location. To order is easy, it has the ticket machine outside, just pick one you think suit your taste, and I believe all are delicious. I remembered I ordered No.6, and my son No.9 which has bigger BBQ pork. The service is also good here, the pretty cheerful young lady will find you seats, and the chefs are also professional and cheerful. The chef with glasses smiles happily to hand you noodles. This is especially good experience when a chef really treat you as a valuable customer. Lastly, special thanks for the young lady to run after and give me back my outer sport jacket which I accidentally left at the shop, I believe it fell on the floor while I’m enjoying my delicious noodles. Thanks a lot again, my son also happy after having such a...
