Tsukijisushiiwa Tsukiji Shiten — Restaurant in Tokyo

Just okay. I went there at 4pm and was the only soul in the restaurant. They were very accomodating although I did get the sense that they weren't happy to be working at this hour. They explained that most people don't come in until 6pm on weekdays.

I had the omekase with fatty tuna which cost about 13000Y. They first served a plate of sashimi followed by some pickles and clear broth. Then the standard nigiri such as aji, shrimp, tuna. I found that the rice was not packed very well and tended to fall apart in my chopsticks. The quality of the fish was good. Finished with a fruit plate which was tasty but standard.

This is located at the Narita International Airport terminal 1 central building after you pass through security. We wanted to bring sushi on board the plane for our lunch so we purchased a box, literally of tuna Sushi was delicious. They gift wrapped the box for us including two little cold packs to keep it fresh, much to our surprise in the most exquisite way which gave us so much joy when we unwrapped it for lunch.
