Tully’s Coffee - Akihabara UDX — Restaurant in Tokyo

Foreigners who are visiting Japan, make sure to avoid this specific Tully's! Out of all the places I visited on my trip to Japan, this was the worst one. My friend and I came to this Tullys for some coffee. When I ordered an Iced coffee, they mistook my order as ice cream.. Mistakes happen and they realized they made a mistake however they charged me again for the iced coffee lol. Language barrier was too much for me to argue that I wasn't at fault to be paying extra for something I originally asked for. AND THEN, I took my coffee to sit with my friend outside the store and our other friends joined us to sat with us, however, one of the employees came out and kicked them out for sitting with us with no order of their own... Mind you there were plenty of tables and seats for people to sit and eat/drink. Lack of seating was not an issue. This place sucks and you can see similar behavior in the other low reviews for...

Food and Drink is ok but customer service is bad. We're a party of 4, 3 of us ordered from them, and one have a drink not from their store. There are more than 75% seat capacity in the whole store and outside, but we all had to leave because the 4th member has a beverage that is not bought from their store. Their policy is so inflexible, it is infuriating: 3 out 4 bought beverage from your store, it's not like there are no more seats (more than 5 tables that can seat 5 people are vacant i.e. 25 seats available), it's not like what we bought will take us more than 15min to consume, but you had to inconvenience your customers. And to think that 4th member is the one who told us to try your drinks and was planning to get something to eat there.

We respect and followed their rule, we all left the establishment and in return, we're never going back. My only regret, I wish I have asked to...

Appalling service today. My wife ordered coffees for the adults and the kids wanted some bubble tea from the shop across the road. The terrace outside only had 2 people and we sat at one table to enjoy the coffee while the kids were having bubble tea from the other shop after a morning walking under a sunny 34 degrees. After just 1 minute a lady came from inside the cafe and told us we were not allowed to sit at the terrace because the kids were drinking something from other shop! Are you kidding?
