Stayed at the standard double room for 2 nights. Walking from Shimbashi train takes around 10-15 minutes. Included breakfast for our stay. We went around 7 plus and 9 plus and there are seats available. The restaurant is quite small located at level 2, where the lobby is also located. It's a buffet where each diner gets a tray with 9 grids for you to fill up with japanese/western dishes both hot and cold. There's also miso soup, rice, japanese raw egg, salad, bread, desserts and assorted drinks to choose from. ||There's a 7-11 just downstairs and Family Mart nearby. Ginza shopping area is around 5 mins walk away. ||Walking space in the room is quite limited after opening 2 luggages. There's a 2-seater couch in the room. Basin, toilet bowl and bathtub/shower are all separated. The basin is just next to the TV. The toilet and shower area can be segregated from the bed/tv and basin area by a door. There is also a small open wardrobe space for hanging clothes. However, if you have thicker coats, you can probably fit 4 pieces of clothings in the small space. ||The toilet area in our room smells abit funky, probably due to the small space? There is also a lack of hanging hooks in the shower area and the room. Probably need to come up with creative ideas to hang your clothes. ||Room slippers, towels, pyjamas, hair dryer and kettle are available in the room. Other amenities such as comb, toothbrush, shaver, teabags, coffee, even ear plugs. facial wash and face lotion packets can be obtained at the lobby.||Housekeeping wise, you can opt for the team to leave fresh towels outside your door if you do not require the full cleaning done.||We also saw a schedule that list down what food truck is available on which day. The truck is parked at level 1 but we did not...
Read moreThe hotel's prime location, coupled with the friendly staff, convenient amenities and toiletries made my stay enjoyable.
Let's start with the location. The hotel is situated in the heart of Ginza, which is one of Tokyo's most vibrant and upscale neighborhoods. It's surrounded by fantastic shopping, dining, and entertainment options, and it's also conveniently close to public transportation. Whether you want to explore the city's attractions, indulge in culinary delights, or shop till you drop, Hotel Mussa Ginza Meitetsu is an ideal base to start your Tokyo adventures.
The hotel staff deserves special recognition for their warmth and attentiveness. From the moment I checked in, they greeted me with genuine smiles and made me feel welcome. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, and their local knowledge was invaluable in helping me navigate the city. The level of service provided by the staff truly enhanced my stay.
One aspect I particularly liked about Hotel Mussa Ginza Meitetsu is the convenience of their amenities. The lobby is well-stocked with toiletries, and you can find everything you need right there. Whether it's toiletries, snacks, or drinks, you can pick them up without having to venture far from your room. I was pleasantly surprised to discover they even provided shower salts, which added a touch of luxury to my bathing experience.
However, it's worth mentioning that the rooms are on the smaller side, which seems to be common in Tokyo hotels. While it may take some getting used to if you're accustomed to more spacious accommodations, it's important to note that the rooms are designed efficiently and thoughtfully. Despite the compact size, they are cozy and well-appointed, ensuring a...
Read moreSo happy we chose to stay here! I cannot stress enough how great this hotel is. We booked a two night stay upon arrival in Tokyo but were so happy here that we changed plans and stayed a third night.
Our room (a double) was compact but did not feel small or cramped. The layout was so efficient and we had everything we could have needed - power outlets and light control by the bed and built in charging cables were wonderful.
The bathroom layout was another huge bonus - separate toilet room meant a huge, beautiful bath and shower. I’ve never had an entire room to shower in before! Now I want that in my house!
We also loved the decor of the room. It felt so modern yet classic, really comfortable and inviting but still sleek and elegant. The giant mirror over the sink was great and added to the spacious feel, and the built in headboard made the bed feel like a cozy nest. And of course, the room was spotlessly clean and in pristine condition.
The location is an easy walk from Ginza Station and made for a great base of operations from which to explore Shinjuku, Harajuku and more. It’s also a very pretty and safe neighborhood with great food and some fun nightlife even if (like us) you can’t afford to shop at the designer boutiques!
The staff were very kind and pleasant, and the rates were shockingly affordable.
This is our first trip to Japan so we were rolling the dice on most of our hotels, hoping the ones in our price range would be ok. I feel so lucky that after 24+ hours of travel, Musse Ginza Meitetsu was the place to welcome us. It set our trip off to an amazing start and I’m so grateful to the lovely staff for providing such a wonderful experience.
10/10 would book again and recommend...
