YAKINIKU Kintan Roppongi — Restaurant in Tokyo

This is by far the worst yakiniku experience in my 10 years of visiting Tokyo. First you have to order by dinner set which isn’t a a problem to me, but the amount of meat and food quality is way over priced and doesn’t reflect much on tasting, it’s only little better than ur local 牛角franchise.

Service was another big issue that add to our unpleasant experience. Any inquiry to waiter have to ask at least Twice before taking any notice, our second meat dish from the set is an half hour wait, but the Japanese customer sitting next to our table who came later than us was served faster! Lastly, our waiter had dropped the grilling plate on our table while changing it, the sound had made all of us jumped and certainly gathered attention from the whole restaurant, but the waiter have acted non-apological with a simple whisper of excuse me........seriously?

Very mediocre. Not £73 pp worth. Go elsewhere if looking for a good experience. Service definitely not with a smile. Tried to take away wine before finished. Asked to help clear table even though we were still eating. Not the cleanest place- cobwebs and dust. Asked for water and did not receive it til the meal ended. Atmosphere not refined. Red wine served straight from the fridge and cold. Disposable chopsticks. Need I say more. Food was ok- some good, most meh. Marinade overpowering. More effort required for decor. I went during midday, which is the busiest time of day. It was a very tasty special lunch set that I ordered. Once you were seated, salad and egg soup were served. The tea is excellent as well.
