Ceylon Tea House Sinha — Restaurant in Yokohama

This tea house looked interesting and inviting at first. Inside is nicely decorated with a quaint and unique feel.

However, the service was rushed as the waitress stood behind us and kept asking what we wanted to order while we were trying to decipher the menu.

The menu is a little confusing as some desserts and teas only came in a combo while others can be ordered individually. It was not possible to order exactly what we wanted.

The desserts were not very good. The lemon cake was dry and hard while the pudding was uninspiring.

Unfortunately that wasn’t all, the teas were worse. The lemon iced milk tea had no tea in it and was the most sour lemonade (with a little cream) I have had. Even after adding all the sweetener, it was still sour.

The hot tea didn’t have much flavor and was served in a flimsy tin tea pot that spilled tea all over the tray. We were concerned whether the tea pot was even safe to serve tea as it looked like a toy pot.

We really wanted to like this tea shop as the decorations inside were eclectic and well done. However, the service and the food were so bad, we would advise others to stay away—especially at the prices this tea shop charges. You will be more satisfied getting a drink and dessert at a 7-11 or Lawsons than this coffee shop.

This place is a disgrace to the name of Sri Lanka. I would not even put one star if there was such an option.

The staff were extremely impolite and will not allow you to even see a menu unless you decide to dine in blindly.

There were no smiles, only tension and hostility from the reception. Sri Lanka is known for its warmth, hospitality and smiles.

There were no Sri lankans at the restaurant, nor did they speak any language from it.

The food did not look authentic and the tea is a far sight from Ceylon tea. The walls were lined with snacks, none of them authentic.

すみません。こんなこと書きたくて書くわけでは無いのですが、書かせて下さい。 友人と2人でお昼時に行きました。 2人共スリランカカレーを注文しました。 まず、お茶とデザートが出てきました。 まずこの時点でなんだか変ですよね？ メインの料理より先にデザートが出てくるなんて…… まぁそこはまだ許容範囲です。 置いておけばいいだけの話なので。

問題は、スリランカカレーです。 ワンプレートに乗っていたのは コンビニおにぎりより少ない白米 いんげん少し 小さなブロッコリー1つ 小さなカリフラワー1つ チキンはどこ？って探しちゃうくらい少し 粒コーン20粒くらい レタス少し(ドレッシング少々) でした

まず、『あまりにも量が少なすぎる！』 ちょっと大丈夫でしょうか？ これで1650円！？ 殆ど白米だけなのに！？ しかも見た目が残飯みたいです 白米＋他のものが少量ずつ、それだけ この時点で、ものすごくガッカリ

とりあえず、一口食べてみました。 『これは……カレー？？？』 カレー的なものがそもそも殆どかかっていないし、味がしないし！ うーん、正直マズイ！ カレー的な液体というか、そういうものが、 なんとなくかかっているような？いないような……くらいです

私はスリランカ料理のお店に行ったことがあります そこで食べた味とはまた違うのは分かります 違うお店ですし、カレーの味も、作る人や材料によって変わるでしょう ただ、その点を考慮したとしても、美味しくないのは確かです。

ただ白米にちょっと野菜を添えて、汁を一口分かけただけ、という物体でした。

9割白米です、ホントに。 代金を返して欲しい。

あと、お茶は普通 最初に出てきたデザートのゼリーは、特に美味しくもなく…… 食べるだけ無駄でした

時間とお金と、無駄に食べてしまったカロリーが勿体ないです

食べる価値は全くありません

私な今までたくさんのお店で、いろいろなものを食べてきましたが、人生で一番『値段に見合わない料理』だと思いました

殆ど白米のみで1650円は流石にぼったくりだと思います

横浜駅周辺やみなとみらいには美味しいお店がたくさんあるので、そちらに行ったほうがずっと良いです

本当にこんなに食べて後悔したのは初めてです 一応お店なのだから、まともなものを出していただきたいです
