KUA`AINA Yokohama Bay Quarter — Restaurant in Yokohama

I consider this place to be a rare treat that I only indulge in 2-3 times a year and always look forward to going. What a great location on the 3rd floor of Bay Quarter. The one near the beach in Kamakura is cool too, but lacks the space, especially with the scenic outdoor seating, and parking that can be found here. Lots of other shops to explore to kill time if you are like me and usually take out the food. You can even just hang there in the outdoor seating or enjoy the views of the harbor or Minatomirai.

It's always hard to choose what to get. I love the avocado burgers but got the bacon burger extra meat this time. It did not disappoint. You can taste the freshness, and it has its own unique smoky bbq (to me) flavor. Just the right seasoning that lets all the flavor from the meat, kaiser roll, bacon, and cheese all get through. Pricey (1300 yen)? Yes. Worth that price? Definitely. A bit too much packaging, but that has nothing to do with this shop in and of itself.

The staff were very courteous as usual, and they tried to speak English as always. There was no one in line, so I got to order immediately. The wait was supposed to be 15 minutes, but I got it in around ten. I went there around 2:30 p.m. on a Monday, and it was not crowded at all....

My wife and I love Kua Aina burgers and fries. We don’t have them in Singapore. In Yokohama we visited this outlet nearest to our hotel twice for dinner. My wife’s favourite Avocado burgers were sold out both times. Noting our disappointment as we were due to fly home soon Mayumi, Kohana and her colleagues went out of their way to reserve the avocado burger for the next (our last) night. We even received a lovely Xmas note from Mayumi. Needless to say we enjoyed our dinner yet again in Kua Aina. Wish we have this chain in Singapore. And the excellent customer service exemplified by Mayumi, Kohana and her colleagues, all Singaporeans will be proud of. Thank you Japan. You have a great bunch of young people in Kua Aina Yokohama Bay Quarter! Cheers...

You're instinct will be to get a burger but I think the sandwiches are way better. The burger was dry. I feel like the cheese was cooked ages ago. If you do get a burger, don't get the Kaiser roll, it'll make you're burger even more dry. English menu available. Incredibly friendly staff. Order took a while to come out.
