Decent ambience and nice location. But that's the only good thing about this place.
The meal size was small and the taste was mediocre.
There was probably 4-5 tables way past dinner rush and there were many staffs idling around. All meals arrived to our table with decent waiting time except for the quiche. We asked a couple times after that and their answer was it took awhile for the quiche because of the egg. The next time we asked they gave us this attitude because we kept asking every 5 minutes, only to come back and said that they were 'just about to make the quiche, can you wait for another 20 minutes? Or would you change it to dessert pie instead because we can make it real quick?' At that point, it had been almost an hour since we were seated, the others were almost done but since the portion was small we decided to order more food and wait for the pie. There were no other customers by then. Surprise, surprise, the other foods came but the quiche were still not there! They came and asked if we wanted to order something else because it was last order time. Still no quiche.
At some point, probably past closing time, they brought the quiche (the other staffs already started cleaning). But not before we saw them touching the quiche with bare hands to check if it was firm enough out out of the oven. We were past caring about hygiene and just ate.
So much potential on this place, but they just didn't bother to get...
Read moreThe beef pie was the highlight of the evening — a golden, flaky pastry that gave way to a rich, savory filling. The minced beef was well-seasoned with a touch of sweetness, creating a comforting and hearty bite. The crust held its structure beautifully without being too dry or greasy.
This Caesar salad came generously topped with thick-cut bacon that added a smoky depth to the creamy dressing. Fresh romaine lettuce, croutons, and a generous shower of grated cheese made this a satisfying and well-rounded starter.
The grilled fish was delicately cooked, with crispy skin and tender flesh. The vibrant green pesto sauce brought a refreshing herbal note, while the side of roasted vegetables added a touch of sweetness and depth.
The restaurant had a relaxed, modern coastal vibe, perfect for enjoying comfort food with a view...
Read moreThis is a typical Japanese restaurant that is way too behind the game. When I entered a restaurant, the first thing the restaurant staff must ask is whether or not the customers have food allergies. Here, it was silly to ask, and they did not seem to care. They also served pies that customers said they could not or would not eat. If they leave the pie, it will lead to food loss, but where are the SDGs measures? Their priority was obviously and clearly on sales. I went to the restaurant with high expectations because there are only a few pie stores in my area in Japan, but I will never go there again. Good apple pies will be offered in the different stores. That is why and how Japanese people get cheated. FYI, for all the talk of American and/or California, there was no banana cream pie, which was...
