Came here for lunch with my partner and our dogs. We were seated on the dog friendly terrace. The staff gave us a choice of some seats that all had sunlight on them on a very hot day. She would not allow us to sit in the many open seats that were in full shade even though it was obviously not busy. I expected it was maybe due to reservations, however there were almost no customers on the terrace during our entire visit. The food itself is just OK, but definitely not worth the price. Especially when on top of the high prices, they charge a 440 yen table charge and provide nothing for it. Unlike most places that charge a table fee that provide some small food. Additionally the staff are not friendly and not accommodating; they are like robots. Overall a terrible experience accompanied by mediocre food. We will never go to Quays again. In the future we will go to restaurants in Marine and Walk which is located nearby Hammerhead when visiting Yokohama.
As a side note, we have been regular customers of El Caliente in Shinagawa which is owned by the same company as Quays. It is obvious that Quays is not managed to the same level as El Caliente. I’m considering to not dine at El Caliente anymore because I am reluctant to give HUGE corp any more of my money. I’ll stick to Tyson’s Group restaurants such as TY Harbor and Ivy Place as...
Read moreI underestimated this place.
The scenery on the the terrace is worth coming alone. You’d expect a place like this to hype up prices to that of TY Harbour or other such places, but the prices here are quite reasonable. I mean it’s ‘New American Food’ according to google, and that stuff ain’t cheap here in Japan.
The salmon platter that includes samples from Aomori Pref, New Zealand, Chile and Norway is a definite must get. The lamb is also quite good here, and I do recommend the mashed potatoes with grilled veggies as the sides.
To add, the home brewed Craft beer is quite commendable here, as are the cocktails. Though the drinks do wrack up the prices if you’re a heavy drinker.
Some things I found to be underwhelming was the 4-cheese nacho’s, the seafood pasta and Falafel burger. Do not get me wrong, they are really nice inclusions, but they are not worth getting again - definitely some of the weak points to this restaurant.
Overall, pleasantly surprised by this place, and a must go on a sunny day during any season of the year. The food is great and QUITE reasonably priced for...

The night before yesterday, I took my dog to eat at yokohama hammerhead. After reading the information in the venue, we came to the second floor and planned to have a nice time for dinner. When I visited here, I asked the staff if it is possible to dine at an outdoor table with my dog. A middle-aged woman staff with short hair received told us in a very impatient and contemptuous tone that pets were not allowed on the second floor and asked me to go downstairs. For this reason, I double-checked the bulletin board of yokohama hammerhead It clearly states that pets are allowed in some stores on the second floor. If pets are not allowed in this restaurant, staff can just tell me that pets are not allowed in this restaurant. Instead of being a staff and instructing guests at will without knowing the rules of the yokohama hammerhead. I'm very unhappy with this. I hope you can improve employee education for AVOIDING this...
