🥪 We originally planned to dine somewhere else before heading to the Christmas Market at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, but the place was packed! Luckily, Zebra Coffee & Croissant was open late, and we decided to stop in for a simple yet satisfying cafe dinner. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise and a much-needed reprieve from the holiday crowds.
The cafe had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, with the aroma of freshly baked croissants filling the air. We ordered a selection of sandwiches and their famous croissants, and each bite was delicious. The bread was perfectly flaky and buttery, while the sandwich fillings were fresh and flavorful. Paired with warm drinks, it made for a comforting meal on a chilly evening.
Our children enjoyed their croissants and loved the laid-back vibe of the cafe, making it a great spot for families. The service was friendly and efficient, which we appreciated given how busy the area was with holiday festivities. It was the perfect place to relax and refuel before venturing out to the Christmas Market.
If you’re visiting the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse area and need a reliable spot for a bite, Zebra Coffee & Croissant is a great choice. The simple, high-quality food and warm ambiance make it a wonderful option for families and cafe lovers alike. We left feeling content and ready to soak in the festive spirit...
Read moreCame with a family member who can't eat pork and asked if they could make the ham & cheese panini without ham. They said "ちょっと難しいです" (basically no). We then watched them make the paninis fresh for other customers, putting in the cheese and then the ham, making it very obvious that it would have been possible if they could just have been slightly flexible. Staff member was also incredibly rude, constantly looking at her watch whilst we were placing our order with her; she had to ask us the same questions about 2-3 times. Avoid.
Update after eating. Cafe latte was nice, they wouldn't make a flat white but as before they aren't the most flexible anyway. Pain au chocolat were subpar. All of our drinks were made incorrectly (hot drinks were ice and vice versa) - the receipt is correct and the place isn't busy so staff are seriously not on the ball. Also everything came in to-go cups even after confirming with us that we are eating in 3 times. Since they had to remake them anyway I asked for it in a mug cup, and this they were...
Read moreI've traveled the world looking for the best croissants, and this is the best croissants I've found in Yokohama: freshly baked--crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, buttery but not greasy, flavorful but not salty. The music and vibes are very relaxing and California chill, especially with the fantastic view. Most importantly, the staff are so friendly. I spilled my cup of matcha after only a few sips, and they kindly made me a new one on the house. They totally didn't have to do this as it was entirely my fault, but they went out of their way to ensure I have a good experience every time. They are very baby-friendly and treat mothers more kindly than most places I've been to. My only recommendation is for them to expand their meat-free savory options like: cheese and spinach croissants, egg and cheese croissants, hummus and grilled veggies croissants, or something creative like a butter and...
