Terrible management. My friend and I went to Blends Cafe and ordered two crispy chicken burgers (chicken breast) to go. When we arrived home, the patty was not crispy and we had no idea if it was even chicken. I called the "manager" who told me "In fact, we have changed the menu, and it's not chicken breast it's minced chicken." Ok, why didn't the server tell us? And what happened to the crispy part? THE MENU STATED crispy chicken breast. NO ONE told us that is not what we would get. THIS is an AUTOMATIC REFUND. I asked for a refund, she said not possible. I said okay, then send another order. She said she will send a meal the next morning for breakfast. Then she said "too bad, we can't do this either. the chef has refused." The chef has refused? After giving us a minced chicken patty?
HUGE failure at every level - server, chef, management. And the burger was TERRIBLE - the bun dry, the meat confusing. The...
Read moreFirst time here. This place is on the first floor of Kilimani mall. It is an open café with plenty areas to sit. When I went, it was a bit cloudy and I could feel the heat despite being indoors. On a hot day, it must be torture. I wanted a cold tea but I had no desire to pay KES 100 for ice. I got the raspberry tea. It was KES 250 for a hot cup. Being a tea drinker, I know they sell a pack of 25 bags for the Kericho brand around 300 in the supermarket. Charging KES 250 for one tea bag is definitely a rip off. I suggest you avoid ordering tea if you can and order something else. I didn't really like the place and wouldn't return, however, I think the place is ideal for a meeting, if you are...

Another interesting thing to note is the option of camel's milk as a substitute for regular cow's milk and the sugar-free cake (carrot cake). The service by Esther was quite good, however, I only wish that some of the prices on the menu would match those on the actual bill. For instance, i had the sugar-free carrot cake which cost a few shillings more than what was indicated on the menu. Overall, it's a good place to grab a quick bite and some coffee/tea and relax after running errands...
