lofts — Restaurant in Riga

Unusual place upstairs in what looks like an old industrial building, the entrance is great as it's up some properly industrial stairs and really sets the scene.

Inside is more laid back, with long wooden tables and lots of local craft beers on tap. As it's away from the centre (not far from the tram though) it seems to be frequented by locals, not tourists, and therefore is a lot more "real" than some of the more central bars... and a bit cheaper too!

There was a folk singing thing going on when we visited, not sure if that's a usual thing but it definitely wasn't your usual craft bar entertainment! The beers were well served by pleasant staff, the customers were mellow and happy (and singing!) making it a rather nice experience all round... definitely one of my favourite...

I realized I hadn’t left a review for this place. It has become one of my favorite spots in Riga to hang out with friends and enjoy a pint of beer. There’s always a great selection of craft beer that changes from time to time, making it possible to try many different ones even if you visit regularly. They also have plenty of tasty snacks - chips that are so fresh they’re still warm, or a curry sausage that pairs perfectly with a beer tasting. Depending on the day, it can be quiet here, but sometimes tourists make their way over and it gets lively. We celebrated my 40th birthday at Lofts, and it couldn’t have been better! The atmosphere was perfect, the staff incredibly professional and friendly, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The venue has a great vibe and all our guests were thoroughly impressed.
