Dear team of Chačapuri Kaunas,
two days ago, my companions and I visited your restaurant during lunchtime. Four weary travellers, enthusiastic about delectable Georgian cuisine, we were very much looking forward to the cheesy delights on your menu. To our great misfortune, your waitess informed us that none of the main dishes and none of the chačapuri (except one with meat without cheese) would be available. In essence, only soups and khinkali were among our options. Choosing a restaurant called "Chačapuri", we were already dreaming about running a piece of crusty bread through hearty cheese and eggyolk! Sometimes, things run out unexpectedly - so we accepted our cheese-less fate for the day and ordered other dishes. Delicious pear lemonade and juicy khinkali let us forget about both our craving for chačapuri as well as the somewhat grumpy attitude of our waitress. But then, a most shocking turn of events came down before our eyes! Suddenly, other customers, who had ordered after ourselves, were served the typical chačapuri dishes with cheese and all the savoury delight we had been hoping for! Even when we left, we clearly saw another customer enjoying what we were denied so unceremoniously. Feeling somewhat betrayed by both our luck and the restaurant, we wondered if we were deliberately excluded from the fun, or if, by some miracle, a new delivery of cheese and eggs descended from the heavens after we had ordered our food. In any case, we had to leave Kaunas with dramatically broken hearts and an ever lasting...
Read moreOne of the best customer experiences I’ve ever had was during my recent trip to Lithuania, at a Georgian restaurant called Chačapuri in Kaunas. We stumbled upon it by chance, and while it wasn’t as flashy as some of the other places we visited in the city, the food and service were absolutely outstanding, far exceeding our expectations.
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel at home with their warm, friendly welcome. The server took the time to ask about our preferences, especially considering we were Indian and might enjoy spicier food. He thoughtfully recommended dishes that suited our palate, a personal touch that showed he genuinely cared about making our experience special. After each dish arrived, he not only explained how it was traditionally eaten but also offered practical suggestions for how to enjoy it best.
When it came to drinks, we were uncertain, so he generously offered us samples to help us decide. It was small details like this that made the experience feel personal and attentive. And while the food itself was amazing—delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented—it was the exceptional service that truly made the meal memorable. This wasn’t just a dinner; it was an experience that left us feeling appreciated and taken care of, something that’s rare and worth...

I undertand the policy of cheap restaurants. Snacks restaurants.. But even cheap you can be good, professional, organised, with sense, with goals… I cannot understand and i will Never understand these places.. Terrible horrible music, with no sense. Some kind of dance music kygo from computer, wich i wonder what has to see with a georgian restaurant jn the middle of old town kaunas… Service quiet and sad and depressing Food very cheap and very avarage Took away that disgusting dish from my bill when we did not even ask Cause our goal was not to save 7€ But to have a decent lunch..rhats all.. Served well, eat well, stay well, and leave.. I usually dont review cause many ppl here knows my name and connect me with restaurants, and i dont want to waste time explaining myself. But sometimes happens things that are really impossible to undertand. Like giving a plate with a starter, directly...
