I'm a Japanese food enthusiast, so I decided to give this restaurant/bar a try. However, upon entering, the atmosphere felt a bit off – a Japanese (Asian) restaurant with club music instead of authentic Japanese music. I was hoping for a more immersive experience. The service was decent, and despite the octopus being out of stock, we opted for beef in the takoyaki.
One aspect that stood out was the absence of complimentary water, which is common in many Japanese restaurants. Moving on to the food, the ramen didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of price and quality. The cold meat was a letdown, and the bowl seemed lacking in ingredients compared to other places I've tried.
The spiciness of the ramen overshadowed the authentic broth taste, making it less enjoyable. On a positive note, the pasta was delicious, but the overall presentation lacked for the price. I would rate the ramen 3/5.
The takoyaki with beef had a unique touch that reminded me of Lithuania, though I believe it could have been even better with octopus. Despite this, it stands out as the best Takoyaki I've had in Lithuania, earning it a strong 4.5/5. I hope the restaurant considers upgrading their ramen, as I'd love to give it another...
Read moreMARVELLOUS place in Kaunas that can rival best ramen places in the capital city. Ramen is made out of fresh ingredients, noodles taste fresh, the broth is great, the portions are really well measured for a man (not too much, not too little).
The staff is very friendly, welcoming, and great. They even opened their doors on the first of January. A great THANK YOU from us, the people who needed some hot ramen after new year's festivities! Thank you for your work!
This place also has BAO buns, japanese rice cakes, food is served ethnic tableware with good sticks, this place also serves japanese lager.
We've even seen japanese people there, which is one of the best recommendations for a food parlor serving ethnic food.
Expect 12-14 euro per ramen, 7-10 Eur per other dishes and 7-8 Eur per japanese beer. Expect ~20 Eur per...
Read moreI used to love this place, but the quality has worsened lately. Last time I have visited we had bao buns and ramen. Food was ok, but a bit too bland for my taste. I understand that the place is trying to cater for different tastes, but the problem was that we did not get any sauces with our food and it was not visible whether there were any sauces at all. The waiter came to ask if everything was ok only when we were basically done with our food. Hence, our waiter was not very helpful. This was not a great experience, so I do not think I will come back any time soon. However, I am giving three stars because I still think it is an ok place for bao or ramen, just definitely should not be the...
