A couple days ago after visiting a few cities in Lithuania and taking a walk through Laisvės alėja in Kaunas we decided to stop by and have a dinner at Mtevani restaurant. Location is perfect and place kind of cozy. We ordered a couple appetizers (eggplant with walnuts and soko dish), 2 lamb mcvadi, drinks and few orders to go. The eggplant dish arrived really fast to our surprise even before drinks probably it was already premade, the bread didn't taste fresh and was just OK. Soko tasted a lot better and has good taste. Next was lamb mcvadi and was kind of tasty especially with glass of marani kindzmarauli despite the fact that one piece of my mcvadi was oversalted and Georgian bread (which I guess is one of the pride of Georgia people) if served warm would serve the purpose better. But it just my opinion. But the STAR OF THE DAY was our server!!! And she is a keeper! She was kind, patient, answered all questions we had, was apologetic and most importantly with great SMILE on her face! That's what we were missing dinning out in Lithuania on our trip. She just made our evening and her name is Greta Petraševiciene.(sorry but my phone doesn't spell all lithuanian correctly).Thank you, Greta! Keep it up!

First they brought chicken soup which was broth with some pieces of chicken that were inedible. My toddler chose bread over chicken and i tried to see why and ended up having more chicken threads stuck between my teeth than was able to swallow. My lobio soup, pardon my bluntness, made me run to the toilet right away. And still i wasnt going to leave a bad review (partially because my low-maintenance wife was ok with her hinkali) But when they, about 40 mins later, brought this midget-of-a-hachapuri-adjari my patience couldn't handle it anymore... Oh yeah that midget was too salty for her and cost EUR9🤯 Oh yeah#2: i asked them for (specifically) "a bottle of water" they brought mini-tap and still charged a euro🤣 Oh yeah#3: this hachapiri was supposed to have bacon in it, feel free to play "where's waldo with it" (hint: they DIDNT forget it, cause there were 2.5 tiny pieces deep inside and they obviously didnt forget to charge for it) If you see me here ever again you have a permission to throw a rock in my face to refresh my memory...

Stopped by this restaurant as it was recommended to us in our hotel. The restaurant is in a great location, it’s easily accessible in the city center. We ordered 3 dishes, two Georgian beers and two glasses of Georgian wine. The food was good. We liked khachapuri and the chicken, but the khinkali was just ok. Also the way they were presented was a bit off - the plate was way too big for the quantity of khinkali served. The prices are however on a higher side. For all we spent around €70.

Apparently authentic and delicious Gregorian food. The staff is very friendly. The food was very hot. The stew that I got was spicy, but not too spicy. It has a lot of onions, a reasonable amount of meat, one mushroom covered with cheese, and three thing tomato slices. Each hot stew comes with Gregorian bread that you can dip in the stew. The wifi doesn’t work.

This restaurant is definitely one of the best restaurants in Kaunas. Everything is tasty and authentic.. I recommend tasting adjarouli (might serve 2 people). This is maybe the 5th time I eat here. Super recommend. Positives: + portion size + flavours + price So far I have no negative experiences at Mtevani.

One of the must visit places in Kaunas. The food is very tasty, especially chačapuri, dolmas, čanakhi. I personally liked chačapuri with cheese more than with bacon and meat inside. The place is very popular and recently grew bigger, has additional hall. However toilet cleanliness needs more attention.
