It's quite funny, because even though I have attended this place hundred times before, this was the first time I've ordered a meal. The reason is because my favorite club (Opium) is located at the exact same place and opens up there at the night time weekends. Anyway, when I fought off my thoughts about ordering shots once again, the waitress came to take order for tonight's meal. I took a coke and Tikka masala for about 10€ in all (fair price). Had to wait about 20 minutes for our orders to arrive, but the waitress was really professional- simply polite but not too chatty and I wasn't in a rush so I didn't complain. And instead spent most of the time chatting with my friends about the specific asian infused interior (obviously, a lot of Bruce Lee pictures, a few flower pots, clean dark wood tables, dark curtains on the entrance). Once the masala and two wok plates arrived, we got into food. I really enjoyed the soft chicken in red sauce with crisps, even though it could've been a little spicier. The temperature of our food was good as well. The only complaint- one of my friends ordered a small portion, the other- large. There was no difference (both were large), but we paid the normal price. I don't know whom mistake it was, but the food was decent, so we left 15% for tips and left the restaurant. All in all- maybe not the best place in Vilnius to try asian food, just because menu is not that wide (I would recommend Gan Bei). But the whole informal restaurant vibes, location and whole experience are...
Read moreRight off the bat I have to inform that the review may or may not be biased based on the fact that I have visited Briusly more times than I can count.
Briusly is one of my favourite places to eat casually. The setting is very relaxed, the seating is primarily very comfy couches. The design is average, however the legendary fighter that inspired the name has his spotlights here and there, which is a nice touch and gives character.
The food changes. At the time of writing, I had the pleasure of testing 5 or 6 menus that bring back some of my favourite classics, or switch them up with something new. More often than not it's great. I have a strange addiction to the Fried Rice. In general, it's a mix of Asian dishes and can probably serve most of the tastes around.
The service may at times be slower than expected, however I most enjoy the place during the weekend, so time is not that much of an essence. Also the staff, most of the time, are charismatic and comfortably casual. Do take note, that on the weekends the second floor takes form as a party venue (which is a lot of fun and also highly recommended), so in the early morning there may still be smells that can be attributed to that.
In the end, it's definitely a place to try at least once. It may or may not be right up your alley. It's not too expensive to regret if the visit turns out bad, but it may also become one of the staple places for good food and a pleasant atmosphere...
Read moreI usually don’t leave reviews, especially negative ones, however I wouldn’t want another customer to be treated like we were last night by the manager Goda. I went to Bruisly with my partner and a friend at around 9pm. My friend has a shellfish allergy so we ordered a Pad Thai for her without the shrimp. We waited for our food for around 30min but they only brought out mine and my partner’s food and advised that my friend’s food will be out in a few min. All good. Well we waited another 20min for my friend’s food until they brought it out with shrimp when we clearly told them she can’t eat it because of allergies. Well, they had to remake it again and my and my partners food got completely cold in the meantime. I understand mistakes happen, but the worst part was the manager Goda who came to talk to us. She was extremely disrespectful, kept talking down on us, even other customers were looking at our table with a disbelief of how she was speaking to us as customers. She took my friend’s meal off the bill since we waited for it for over an hour but couldn’t do anything about my or my partners food even though we ate it completely cold. Goda had a ridiculous attitude which wasn’t ok. I personally worked at quite a few restaurants myself and this kind of behavior wouldn’t be acceptable anywhere. We had limited time in Vilnius and I just hate that we had a waste so much time...
