We came to Gan Bei City excited to have some Asian food, but left very disappointed. When our server sat us down and came to get our order, he asked us to tell him the dishes we want by referencing the dish numbers from the menu. So instead of telling him I wanted sweet and sour prawns, I had to specify the number instead. Which was fine! However, after my food arrived, I soon realised it wasn’t what I ordered. Initially I was doubting myself, so I started eating it anyway despite the fact that it tasted nothing like expected and was personally way too spicy for me. Nevertheless, after double-checking with another server walking past my table, it was confirmed that this wasn’t what I ordered. Our waiter then apologised for the mistake, explained that the menu lists had recently changed and asked if I wanted to order the original dish instead. But as we didn’t have much time left, I said I’ll finish this dish. The waiter promised to give us a discount. After the finishing the food we asked for the bill. Our waiter sorted our payment, but we soon realised we paid full price despite his promised discount. It also didn’t seem to occur to him to ask why my sister’s meal was left almost untouched (the food didn’t taste good at all, so she couldn’t eat it). Disappointing experience altogether. I do not...
Read moreGood Chinese food in Vilnius is difficult to find. Food in Gan Bei was perhaps slightly above average, but this is not difficult to achieve. It tasted fine, but quite boring. The crispy honey chicken was not really crispy, the crispy spicy cauliflower was not crispy nor spicy. The fried beans tasted nice overall, but they were covered in really think batter, so you couldn't really say it's the beans you're eating. Each dish had a salad on the side, but it consisted of some chopped veggies with absolutely no dressing. The fres beans in the salad and slices of orange were nice. Drinks. It is probably the only place in Vilnius where you can't get tap water and the price of the water is stupidly high. 1.80 for a glass of Evian water? No thank you. Service was also weird - the lady serving us brought the food, but not the chopsticks or forks. We waited for a while and started eating with untensils that were there for serving, because it was all cold already. Once she brought the chopsticks, she apologised that everyone came at the same time. Well,...
Read moreI used to have lunch there during my weekends, but today's visit was awful. I'd been waiting for my food for half an hour, that was okay for me, but I'd been waiting for change for 45 minutes! Can you imagine? It looked like they decided to leave 30% of my bill for tips and didn't ask for my opinion. I asked the waiter for my change, no action from her side, then I had been asked by another waiter if I would like to have something more to eat, I explained that I paid my bill and just was waiting for the change... No actions from their side. Finally, after 45 minutes of my waiting they brought me my money with their sorry. As a resume I would say that they've lost their regular client, the waiter lost hef tips and the restaurant got a bad mark in Google. I wouldn't suggest this place to anyone due to their not client...
