visited after seeing the place on TikTok (i am a genz kid sue me) and it did not disappoint. be aware that prices are appropriately touristy (RM40ish per person for a side, drink and meal) though the food was at least tasty! the bowls are HUGE as advertised and the serving sizes were proportionally large. the place was also richly decorated with photos of tourists and a giant bowl motif on the wall. we ordered a bowl for 2 people and we could’ve sworn it was for 3.
we also ordered a side of Xiao Long Baos which were okay, not the best I’ve had. there just didn’t have that satisfying soup bUrst moment.
the noodles itself though were my kind of noodles, with the signature QQ texture. the soup was also something reminiscent from my childhood with a fishy richness and some depth from the braised pork. our soup came with boiled eggs, crab sticks, seaweed, cabbage and braised pork meat that was SO tender. it basically melted in our mouths and was so flavourful with a perfect marinade.
service was exceptional, with friendly staff who’re happy to recommend dishes. we also noticed the staff were very careful with hygiene (holding cups by the base and always facing chopstick ends outwards) which was on par with how bloody CLEAN the toilet is.
overall the meal was rather tasty, though prices are definitely in the...

-I visited Chew Jetty Big Bowl Noodles and tried the Seafood Big Bowl with 5x spicy soup level. The bowl was huge, definitely meant for sharing, with at least one other person. The big bowls are only given to orders starting from 2 pax. the singular orders are served in a smaller bowl.
The soup was quite spicy, but not as spicy as I expected with level 1 as the base before jumping all the way up to 5. The staff also made sure if I could handle it after finding out I'm from Europe. The noodles were springy and absorbed the spice really well. While I initially went in thinking it was a gimmick, the soup was actually very good and would definitely return and bring friends to have another bowl.
The place itself was casual and quite lively, with a lot of people taking photos with their bowls. The staff were friendly and helpful, offering to take our photo and explain the menu. The honey lemon drink was a nice way to cool down from the heat of the soup.
Do mind that they don't accept card payments (my mistake!), I ended up 2 ringgit short and had to find an ATM. Fortunately the staff was very kind and instructed me towards the nearest ATM. Upon return they even gave me a bottle of water which was definitely a nice...
Read moreWe visited around 11 am on Monday, 17th June, Hari Raya Haji (a PH in Malaysia), and we were the only table of customers.
We ordered their braised pork belly noodles (for 2 people), which cost RM46.90 before service charge and SST, along with honey winter melon and honey lime plum drinks. The noodles were cooked al dente, reminiscent of Japanese ramen with a familiar flavour. The pork belly was well braised and very tender.
Although we were informed that the braised pork belly ramen was non-spicy, we tasted a slight spiciness and found dried chilli in the broth. To me, it tasted like standard Japanese ramen with braised pork belly as a topping—pleasant but nothing exceptional. The unique aspect is that multiple servings of noodles are presented in one large bowl. The beverages were ordinary as well.
You may consider visiting here if you're in Georgetown for the first time. The large bowl is highly Instagrammable. The taste is fairly average for the price, but the owner is very friendly...
