Jo Gourmand is a hidden gem that offers a delightful culinary experience. There are two items in particular that left a lasting impression on me during my visit: their watermelon cake and their watermelon & lychee smoothie.
Let's start with the watermelon cake. It is an absolute must-try! The moment I took my first bite, I was instantly transported to a summery paradise. The cake is light, moist, and perfectly balanced with the natural sweetness of the watermelon. Each layer melds together harmoniously, creating a burst of refreshing flavors. The presentation is also a feast for the eyes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a unique and Instagram-worthy dessert.
In addition to the watermelon cake, I decided to quench my thirst with their watermelon & lychee smoothie. It was a delightful choice, especially on a warm day. The combination of the juicy watermelon and the delicate sweetness of the lychee created a refreshing and revitalizing beverage. The smoothie was expertly blended, resulting in a silky texture that made each sip a pure delight. If you're in need of a cooling and revitalizing drink, I highly recommend giving this smoothie a try.
Beyond the exceptional food and beverage options, the service at Jo Gourmand was friendly and efficient. The staff members were knowledgeable about their menu and provided helpful recommendations. The cozy ambiance of the cafe added to the overall enjoyable experience.

Read moreI recently visited Jo Gourmand Cafe & Bakery and was absolutely blown away by the quality of their drinks and desserts. This cozy little spot is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates expertly crafted coffee and unique, flavorful treats.
First, I tried their Piccolo Latte, and it was perfection in a cup. The balance between the rich espresso and the creamy, velvety milk was spot on. It had a smooth, slightly nutty flavor that lingered pleasantly, making it one of the best piccolo lattes I’ve ever had.
Next, I ventured into something more adventurous with their Lychee Black Coffee. I was skeptical at first, but the combination of sweet, floral lychee with the bold, earthy notes of black coffee was surprisingly delightful. It’s a refreshing and innovative twist on traditional black coffee, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new.
To pair with my drinks, I ordered the Pandan Taro Cake, and it was a showstopper. The pandan flavor was fragrant and not overpowering, while the taro filling was creamy and subtly sweet. The cake itself was moist and had the perfect texture, making it an absolute treat for both the eyes and the palate.
The ambiance of the cafe is warm and inviting, with a charming aesthetic that makes it a great place to relax or catch up with friends. The staff were also incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall wonderful experience.
If you’re a coffee enthusiast or have a sweet tooth, Jo Gourmand Cafe & Bakery is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back and try more...
Read moreMixed feeling about this place. The good: the ambiance/decor/ atmosphere is just so lovely , we liked this part. The bad : service is very limited : we are 4. We wanted french croissant (they had almond , classic and chocolate) but only 3 We asked do you have more ? Girl at front desk said no sorry- really ??? In a bakery ?? We had to settle for a cinnamon bun as a number 4 🥺 I suppose they think warming it up is better. But it's not. It all came to our table boiling hot. By the time you're half way through it turns into a very very dry toast/croissant . No good. They should know better. As we were leaving they had brand new fresh all sort of croissants on the counter. Really!?!?!?!! Bad bad service. Teas and coffees are overpriced. Around $4 each An employee was squeezing oranges. 2 pitchers were absolutely full. So I came back to front desk and ask for one glass of juice. Another girl said. Sorry we only do coffee chocolate and tea. Again, really ??????? Lots of non sense in this place. It's a a shame because so much potential. Looks to me they need to train their employees way better. By the way it was Friday morning 10.30 am and it was absolutely empty. It's mostly a breakfast and lunch ,tea and cake type of place. Coffee shop. Maybe there is no surprise. Poor management and overpriced softs drinks. Just too bad. Not sure I would go back there. Cakes looked good but we...
