Read moreI recently visited Picco Polo Cafe and unfortunately, my experience was not as pleasant as I had hoped. From the moment we entered, we were not greeted with the warmth or hospitality one would expect in a café setting. The lady wearing glasses, who was serving at the time, did not seem very welcoming.
When I asked whether there were other pastries availableâsince some sections of the display were emptyâher response was rather curt: âOh, all is here,â with no further explanation or offer to help.
During payment, I took out my card, and she immediately said, âOh, we prefer cash.â I pointed out that I saw a credit card machine and asked if they accepted card payments. She responded vaguely, saying they prefer cash. I explained that, as a customer, I also have my own preferences, and I would like to pay by card.
Out of curiosity, I asked if she was the owner or a staff member, and she said she was just staff. I believe itâs important for all staff to reflect good customer service regardless of ownership, especially in a cafĂ© that relies on repeat business and word of mouth.
Overall, I hope the service improves, as the ambiance of the café has potential. A more welcoming attitude would make a big difference in the...
Read moreThe food not too bad especially the Creamy Pesto Pasta, it is tasty and something special. However, to my disappointment (after patron so many cafes and restaurants), this Picco Polo Cafe's food is small portion and very little ingredients. One of the main course I ordered Bruschetta and I was told they ran out of sourdough (I can't imagine, the cafe only serve us one table during lunch time), so I have no choice but to settle down with benggali roti (normal thick which bread). The whole meal suppose to serve with chopped tomatoes and mushrooms. Do you know that I can really count the chopped tomatoes and the mushroom (not more than 15 pcs of morel mushroom). So at the end I have to eat the benggali bread plain without any ingredients. Oh ya, the bread is spread with butter. Can you imagine, you pay so much for a few pcs of mushroom and chopped tomatoes with a benggali bread spread with butter only. The pastries also looks like it has been kept there for weeks, especially the expensive croissant. Though the food was presented with nice decorative items but those are not meant for you to eat, it is for you to take pictures. After the lunch, you are still feeling a...
