Would have given 0 star if possible.
1 star for the enviroment, since that's the only part to compliment.
Food was bad, ordered smoked duck cabonara and it tasted as if they soaked it into water. No taste or smell at all for both duck and pasta. Pesto & tomyam pasta was way too oily. Rice bowl... nothing special.
Called the waitress for salt, pepper & chillflakes. She makes it looks like a hard task for her, have to keep repeating herselft when she walk out and end up forgetting to bring me any of it. Have to call another waiter to ask for it. Its a common seasoning from restaurant but the waiter does not understand, we have to keep repeating until the 3rd waiter passed by and understand us, but only salt and papper were bring over. After reminding only I got my chilli flakes. Simple request but took us a lot of repeated reminder & everytime we try to get the staff attention, they just looked at us and completely ignore us. 😪 we end up walking to the counter to make payment. The management / owner should do something about this. Your staff training is terrible. Especially the Indian young waitress. Rude.
Have to get cutlery from them since its the in-house restaurant for the hotel. Cause your food was too terrible, we have to order grab. When I was there to ask for cutlery, the waitress asked me very rudely "is this halal" I can't hear at first cause her voice was low, she rolled her eye and repeated. Told her its fried noodle only seafood and again she rolled her eye and asked "you sure its not pork wonton noodle?!" I mean, even if there is, you can't control what we eat in the room. She went it and can tell she's complaining to the other staff (a middle age uncle) the only good service staff, he then packed the cutlery and give it to me nicely.
You get 2 complimentary drinks when you book a hotel room. Since we got 2 rooms, we get 4 drinks. Ordered 1 iced coffee, 1 lemonade, 2 iced chocolate. ALL tastes terrible, we've never tasted such terrible drinks. Diluted to the max. No wonder they asked us to get can...
Read moreI recently visited a buffet that promised a luxurious dining experience but fell short in reality. While their website advertised an 88 RM buffet, I was charged an exorbitant 200 RM due to it being the Christmas season. The website only shows the 88 RM price. This price hike was not justified by the quality of the food offered.
The limited drink selection included only water and a rather unpleasant punch. While there were some decent dishes like the soup, potato bechamel, octopus, and a few others, the majority of the offerings were subpar.
It was a semi-buffet as you would order one main course. The selection included beef ribs which comes with red wine. I avoid alcohol, so for a price of 200 RM, one would expect the kitchen to customize the order by removing wine. But the waiter advised me not to order it if I am avoiding alcohol. So I ordered grilled salmon instead.
The grilled salmon, which was part of my main course, was particularly disappointing, tasting more like trout and having a gamey flavor. The accompanying mashed potatoes were also lackluster.
The dessert section wasn't any more impressive, though the red velvet Swiss roll was a saving grace.
In summary, the quality of food certainly did not match the high price tag. An 88 RM price might have been acceptable, but 200 RM was unjustifiable for what was offered. This was a letdown, especially considering the special occasion and the expectation set by...
Read moreNice decor and fairly new buffet place. Came here for Christmas Eve for MYR98++ in a party of 14. Bought 2x buy 1 free 1 red wines as offered.
Upon arrival we were pressured to buy the free-flow wine instead @ MYR148++/person with flyers for the new offer on each table seat. When we told the waitress we just wanted the 4 bottles of red wine ordered beforehand, the waitress just said they had only two bottles left. We insisted that they honor the original 2-for-1 offer and they managed to find 2 replacement red wines after a couple of back-and-forths with their manager. The before-meal experience was already slightly unpleasant.
The food choice for mains was quite limited (understandable for the size of the restaurant). The mains are a bit of the letdown although the appetizers and desserts were really great. The “paella” lacked taste and was overcooked and the turkey was dry. Salmon Wellington and roast lamb leg was good. Enjoyed the hummus dip and salade Niçoise as well as the various cakes. Coffee and ice cream was ok.
The Christmas decoration was great and they provided some headgear (Santa hats and antler headbands). They also had a duet band over for some Christmas songs which was nice.
Overall, it’s average value for money. Ok place to celebrate festivities. Management should taste test their own food and make sure that they and their staff honor their offers. Would be regular if they improved...
