Trois Canon Cafe — Restaurant in George Town

Don't come here if you are big group, they can only accommodate 10 to 11 people now due to social distancing. I was quite unlucky and waited for about 20 minutes before I could dine in as there were a few inconsiderate people (finished eating but still sit there and chit chat, seeing some people queuing outside). The staffs could have hint them by cleaning the table or gently telling them there's customers waiting outside.

No price list was displayed, no menu is provided. The aunty expect us to know what is available and asked us what we wanted to order. We told her we are first timer then she walked away. 🤔

Anyway food was okay, but bagel with eggs and cheese was very good. Coffee though was very plain. Tastes like iced plain water to me. 😅

Old skool Hong Kong style Cha Chaan Teng with affordable meals made from scratch. Authentic taste. Tried most items on the menu. All are good and tasty. My all time favourite is the Philly Cheese Steak Bun. Three ingredients, sliced beefsteak, cheese in an oblong soft bun. Perfect balance of taste. Don't need ketchup etc. This is my go to breakfast meal. A meaty Philly Cheese Steak Bun and iced Yin Yong for RM9 For me, the is better than the famous franchises for American burgers. Had a wonderful brunch while staying in penang. Trois cannon cafe has been on my must visit list for a long time. A combination of authentic hong kong and local style char chan teng, they provide a range of delicious dishes. You can come for breakfast or lunch, either way is a good way to start your day. The famous pork or chicken bun is good, and the beef bun is on demand, they usually don't sell it on sunday because they are abit understaffed.
