I Had been busy and finally gotten to do it today. ||Booked via Agoda for 2 rooms. Thereafter contacted Hotel to switch to connecting rooms. A further top up of RM120 for 4 nights from 16 to 20 June 2024.|Breathtaking view of city and partial sea view from our rooms!!||Check in was smooth and friendly service started from concierge Zabidi. He was such an amazing warmth guy!! Leading us to the foc drinks and recommending us the nutmeg drink. Totally refreshing. Throughout our stay, he never fail to give us his sincere smile. The last time we came Penang was more than 10 years ago and thus, he suggested and recommended us where to eat, what to do around Georgetown. He even taught us how to take the free CAT bus and getting around Georgetown. It's convenient as the CAT bus was just 200m away from hotel.||Next, breakfast had a wide spread and i loved the DIY coffee machine. Often crowded but seats were readily available. Certain area in breakfast area was quite cold and I causally mentioned to Evelyn after breakfast. She remembered the next day when she saw us and directed us to another area which was not too cold. Such professionalism and services from her definitely need to be highlighted. Thank you Evelyn . ||We used the Indoor swimming pool, it's small but we still enjoyed ourselves in the pool. Rain or scotching sun, play on!!||Water dispenser was just outside our room. It's fantastic and eco friendly. ||On our last night, the hotel sent someone to our room and gave us complimentary cakes. What a sweet gesture. Aside from this, a big thank you to the reception counter like Ruby, Suzanne, Bani. Not forgetting housekeeping who also did a fantastic job.||Overall, highly recommended to those planning a holiday in Georgetown, Penang. Read moreI stayed at this hotel on 30/12/24-1/1/25 cause we wanted to see fireworks from the room, I requested high floor,room facing Komtar tower. When I went to check in, the staff let us stay in a room on the 12th floor. When I went up to the room I found that the room is twin bed is not king bed as we booked so I went down to contact the counter again. The same staff informed that she upgraded the room to Deluxe and available only twin beds. If you prefer king bed you have to be on the low floor and sea view, so we decided to go up to the 12th floor room. After a while phone call ring into the room and it was a male receptionist's voice asking me that he still has 1 room available with kind bed and high floor also facing to Komtar Tower,After that I went down to contact at the counter again to get new room key on 11 floor.I found that the man i talked to is FRONT OFFICE MANAGER,He is very kind,take care of customers very well,polite and tries to solve the problems for customers in the best possible way. He upgrade my room to corner side.When I went up to the room ,the room was large ,very nice view. I really appreciate it and want to take this chance to say thank you to him too😊.
In the evening I went to reception counter again to ask some suggestion for local food nearby, One of LGBTQ staff she recommended me to walk to Red Garden food court.I’m really en joy with the food there.LGBTQ staff she is very nice, Always smile,greeting the guest all the time.I like to talk with her so much ^.^😘 . Anyway so sorry that i did't remember their name🥹

I stayed at Cititel Penang from 11/08 to 17/08 with Asia Miles redemption. I redeemed the Standard Room with Breakfast. Arrived at the hotel around 1:00pm and checked in immediately (hotel website indicated that the check in time is 3:00pm). The Customer Service at the hotel check-in counter is excellent and very professional. The hotel also offer free beverage without alcohol at the lobby for customers.||I was assigned a King size Bed room at 5th floor. The room size is very standard for 2 persons. The breakfast is very good, but to avoid the crowd, try having breakfast before 7:00 a.m. The waiters at the restaurant are very professional. The hotel location is excellent, and the CAT tourist bus (free shuttler bus) is just across the hotel. I had dinner at the Kirishima Japanese Restaurant at the hotel, the food and the services are excellent, but the price is a bit expensive. (of course, Japanese meals are always expensive, except in Japan)||I highly recommend the hotel consider offering on-site self laundry facilities (like the majority hotels in Japan) to enhance guest convenience and improve the overall hotel experience, as this service can set them apart from competitors and cater to the needs of travelers who may not want to take dirty clothes home. If I come to Penang again in 2026 (for colleagues reunion), I will stay at this hotel again. Highly...
