Very unlucky to be having served a lukewarm tom kha gai, which has an overdose of nam pla making it salty then had to pause our rice for 20 minutes awaiting our hor mok talay. I politely asked for my 2nd dish when ladyboss passes by. Then waited and a 2nd reminder asking ladyboss if our dish have been forgotten and she said no and told that they have only 2 Chefs for fully packed premise on that Sunday, well ok no problem. Me and wife was finally served the 2nd dish and we continued with our rice. Digging in to the Hor Mok so called Talay or Seafood only to find that their is no fish but slices of fish ball, some little slices amount of cuttlefish and a stingy few Shrimps which was diced up, Shrimps ya not prawns. Thus this so called seafood is done on an eggs scrambled with some spices, then served at the price of RM 28.90 excluding 10% but tasted less appealing than a Hawker stall Thai Food. Stingy ingredients for this Hor Mok pla. 2 dishes plus a shot of Green Tea Cha Yen for RM 70. Menu is impressive, Ladyboss probably didn't realise or took for granted cause we were keeping calm. Spoils my expectation for a satisfactory dinner. And a ladyboss which doesn't recognise the mistake done except to tell that they have only 2 Chefs at work, yes we know. That's why we ate and paused 20 minutes patiently but no sensitivity for us was felt. Would we come back again? There are more than 2 dozens of Thai restaurants now locally, I don't feel I should come back here although the KHA moo Par Lor looks tempting (on Menu though) and inviting me to try next trip. I guess lesser a customer in us does not affect them since the business is so good. Chok Dee na. And sorry I have to spill this out cause I never expected my dinner to be served this way and this thoughts have been in my head since I walked out your beautiful restaurant. Very disappointed and regretted coming here. Kindly take this as a constructive...
Read moreWe waited 30 minutes after placing our order and followed up once. After another 15 minutes, we followed up again, and were finally told that the food was being prepared and would be served in about 5 minutes.
However, when the dishes were eventually brought out, they were not freshly cooked or hot—clearly they had been sitting for a while. What’s more, while two of the dishes were still missing, I anticipated further delays and decided to order dessert in advance.
Another 10 minutes passed. We had already finished all the dishes on the table, yet the remaining two dishes and the dessert had still not arrived. At that point, I had no choice but to ask the staff to cancel the remaining items.
To our surprise, when we went downstairs to leave, we saw that our missing dishes and dessert had already been prepared and were just sitting there—no one had brought them up. Meanwhile, guests who arrived later than us and were seated downstairs had already finished their meals.
If your restaurant cannot provide equal attention to both upstairs and downstairs guests, we sincerely suggest that you consider not opening the upstairs dining area, to avoid disappointing...
Read moreI was planning to give this place a 5-star review based on my first visit, but unfortunately, my second visit was quite disappointing.
We ordered a few more dishes this time, hoping to explore more of the menu: • Mangosteen Kerabu: The mangosteens were still frozen when served, which completely ruined the dish. 😔 • Belacan Fried Rice: I expected this to be a safe choice at any Thai restaurant, but it was surprisingly bland and lacked aroma—pretty tasteless without the sambal. 😔 • Thai Seafood Omelette: Fragrant, yes—but unfortunately too dry. • Meang Kam Fried Fish: An interesting concept, but the flavor combination didn’t quite work. • Tub Tim Krob (Thai dessert): The flour coating on the water chestnuts was too thick, making the texture a bit off.
That said, not everything was a letdown: • Tom Yum Seafood – Recommended! • Pad See Ew – Also recommended.
Honestly, I felt a little bad hyping this place to my family after the great first experience. Hopefully, it was just an off day in the kitchen.
Requires for reservations to prevent any disappointments.
