We had an exclusive visit to this museum due ti the fact we were the only guests during our whole visit. In such an artistic place we felt well taken care of by all the employees. The experience started with making our own glass design on a melted glass bottle. Since there were 3 of us we got 3 bottles with pre-drawn design on them. The task was to color inside the lines and eventually make our own background. We could also choose to create our own drawing, but being with a child we did not have this time. The creative area is absolutely amazing. We have never thought we would discover such a place in Malaysia. After spending nearly 3 weeks in this country we can say with a heart on our hearts that this has been the best museum experience so far. The ground floor of the museum has a funny mirror area as well as a mirror tunnel with an interactive floor - my daughter truly enjoyed this area. The upper floor is where the actual museum is located - with many many glass and mirror decorations. There are qr codes advising on how you could best take your picture. This museum holds a national award for record ling glass batik decoration. There were a lot of interactive spots in the upper floor and this made the visit to the museum easy since we visited with a small child. Thank you to the very sweet employees that followed with us and assisted us with our glass design and taking our pictures. Nice to meet you, Ishu, Lun and Veena and thank you for your patience throughout our long and thorough visit to your...
Read moreReally worth the 30MYR! The highlight is really the custom glass bottle that you can design yourself and bring home!
We can copy their templates or make our own and it was so fun! I asked so many questions and they answered everything! We sat beside their glass making factory where temperatures can reach really high and they use recycled or bought glass items to remake into new goods! You I would love to see their glass blowing or pay for a glass blowing workshop if they host one in the future :)
The actual museum itself is a fun little bit of exploring optical illusions and the record holder of Malaysia's longest glass painting (I think). The staff is really kind to wait for us to finish designing our bottles and guide us through and even help us take photos!
The 2nd storey I find most interesting. Beautiful paintings of scenery, animals, and characters like Goku! The staff said I can touch it, especially the back of the painting where you can feel the grooves of every handiwork! I saw interior designs for bedrooms and toilets so I guess you can buy or make a custom glass for your house!
You can also buy their beautiful glass bottles, or even a working clock on a bottle! There are also plenty of merchandise available in thejr extensive shop like glass cups, keychains,...
Read moreGreat little museum - absolutely worth visiting if you enjoy visually stimulating artwork, optical illusions and/or taking silly photos. The ticket includes a glas painting experience which was unique. There are some pre-outlines templates as well as templates you can trace. You can even make your own template free hand. The multiple options make the activity accessible for different ages and different levels of confidence in art based activities.
The staff is extremely attentive and helpful both while painting and while viewing the museum. Staff offered to take pictures for us as we walked around the museum but were also very comfortable leaving us to view it on our own terms.
Overall this museum is a great mixture of education, engagement and ripe with photo ops it's clear that museum staff has thought about appealing to many different kinds of people and personalities.
Some exhibits do have flashing lights so people with neurological or sensory sensitivities may want to...
