Sweetheart Cafe Mount Austin — Restaurant in Johor

If you’re gonna come to this cafe, don’t order the food. The drinks are ok and maybe the pastries are good but I’m too turned off to even order them to try after ordering their brunch food.

Summary: FOOD IS OVERPRICED, DOESN’T TASTE GOOD, LOW VALUE FOR MONEY We ordered a shakshuka and a caramel tangerine chicken chop, each were over RM30 after tax. Have a look at the size of the chicken chop, it’s smaller than my palm and I’m a small sized girl. The only good part about this dish was the fries. Also, the tangerine is just 1 thin slice of tangerine, are we supposed to squeeze it? Where is the caramel?

The shakshuka - no goat cheese, no greens, no other ingredients like beans or mushrooms. The olive oil doesn’t taste like olive oil but it’s super oily, and the eggs were over cooked. The entire dish was salty. There were only chopped onions, cherry tomatoes and 2 overcooked eggs stacked on top of each other. And that itself is RM30?? If you guys charge RM18 before tax, I could still understand. But at RM30? I cannot understand. I didn’t finish my shakshuka and my partner had to finish it because his chicken chop is TOO SMALL to fill his tummy. Did I mention that the bowl of shakshuka is also smaller than my hand?

At least get your ingredients right? Do more research and improve your dishes, otherwise don’t even offer them because it’s just plain offensive and your customers end up...

I would give it 5star merely for the mushroom soup itself! Generous portion (slightly exp) suitable for sharing.

Order the pistachio cheesecake, creamy soft and surprisingly it’s not sweet! Highly recommended.

And the carbonara pasta (meatless) with truffle oil, it’s really yummy and delicious. It has seaweed on it which make it more unique! If you’re really into milk/cheese stuff. As mushroom soup about the same taste. (My friend find it very 腻 greasy as creamy ) but I totally love it! ((Ladies you can eat few bite and throw to ur bf)) 😆

And the fruits tea is decent. Sharing portion.

Been here a few times for the dessert, it was all good. However, please update your closing time at here also. I went here at 9.40pm for the dessert too, at first I saw one worker was cleaning the front place, I thought closed already, but I checked the opening time at Google, it showed opening till 12am. So I went in and the worker didn't say anything also. Until the second worker showed up and told us it was closed and pointed to us in front there already cleaning. At this point, just feeling disappointed towards the time management in Google Map. Anyway, the desserts here are really nice to eat...
