Got to know of this stall selling Kway teow around KSL. Happen to stay around the area and decided to check out this place for breakfast. Reached the stall around 9am, place wasn't packed, managed to get a table easily. The kway teow comes in 3 size with prices starting from MYR$10 onwards. There are 4 different types of noodles to choose from and they they offer both soup and dry. Ordered the medium portion which was MYR$15, had the soup with the dry kway teow. The bowl of soup came with ingredients like minced and sliced pork, mock abalone, liver, kidney and fishball. Kway teow was nice, sauce was well balanced. Soup was tasty, quite like it. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Would definitely recommend this place. Seems like I would go there often if I happen to stay around KSL.

As I was born and raised in Johor Bahru, IMO this is about as authentic a Teochew pork noodle that you can still get - and I am specifically referring to the "dry" version of it, with chilli sauce and vinegar in the bowl of noodles or (you can't get a more Teochew noodle of) kway teow or flat rice noodles. The chilli sauce here is as close as possible to the original recipe, and the soup (that is also important) is also pretty close, albeit not as cloying as the original form. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my Teochew pork kway teow "dry" Small at RM15 - and the pig's liver slices that came with it was super tender and yummy. Service here was very good - attentive and prompt. The dining ambience was a tad warm this hot Tuesday, but that's what it was like in the old days.

Nothing to rave about. Anytime, Singapore can get a good bowl of bak chor mee/kway tiao soup. Price is comparable to Singapore as well. I ordered a bowl of kway tiao soup and mee tai mak soup at (rm12) each, and a bowl of ingredients at rm18. To be fair, ingredients are cooked well, liver, kidney are soft, kway tiao and mee tak mai also smooth. Oysters and abalone slice was of low quality, but of course, I am not expecting expensive ingredients considering the price. What I find lacking is the broth lacks depth. Heavy on deep fried pork lard, that's all. No big pork bone flavour, no dried flat fish (tee por) flavour, no braised mushrooms flavour. Soup is really flat, but salty. Nopes, I wont visit again. Their fried fish cake (@rm6) a piece was quite nice though.

One of my go to around KSL. The lady boss and staff there are friendly.

Food wise, I like how they do their kueh teow. It is firm and sauce goes well with the rice noodles. I usually order medium or large. The highlight of this shop is that the food prepared does not smell or taste too gamey compared to other stalls.

Drinks wise, i am a kopi lover and naturally I have tried their kopi before and it is on the bland side. Instead, I would recommend to order the amberella drink aka balonglong or kedongdong. Not the best since its not freshly made but still does its job in cleansing your palette especially on a humid afternoon.

Hygiene wise, this stall appears cleaner than other stalls.

Overall, this stall will be my go to and unsure why the rating seems lower than what I expected. Do give it a try and support if you like!

Totally gone down the drain. Ordered four bowls, got all the orders wrong. We specifically requested for the kids portion to exclude pork liver, however when it was served, all the lean meat was missing, and the kids were served with a large portion of pork liver. One of the orders was for dry yellow noodle, yet we were served a mixture of noodle and kuey teow. The staff seemed to imply we made a mistake during ordering. When we refused to accept, she said okay, and went to the sink, dug out and threw away the kuey teow, and promptly served us the remaining noodle. We have eaten here for years, being locals ourselves. But it was the first time we got this disastrous service, and it clearly coincides with the absence of the lady boss. If you do not see the nice lady boss around, refrain from...
