A Nightcap of Coffee and Cocktails: Smooth Textures and Friendly Faces Stepping into this coffee cocktail "cafe" provides an immediately enjoyable and atmospheric experience. I highly recommend securing a spot at the bar, as it offers the perfect vantage point to watch the baristas at work while savoring the constant, comforting scent of freshly brewed coffee. This immersive seating arrangement truly elevates the visit, transforming a simple coffee run into a theatrical appreciation of the craft. The menu blends creative coffee and cocktail concepts, and the drinks I sampled showed a clear dedication to quality ingredients and technique. I ordered two of their creative coffee cocktails, the "Why Dirty" and "Pls Chill," alongside a classic Irish Coffee. The signature drinks were the highlight, delivering a wonderfully creamy and sweet profile. The barista shared their secret, noting they use creamier milk to achieve the distinctive, smooth, and thick texture that makes these drinks stand out. It’s clear these are brewed with attention, resulting in a rich, indulgent flavor that leans into the sweeter side of the coffee spectrum. The one area for potential improvement was the Irish Coffee. While the cream and presentation were excellent, I personally would have preferred a stronger, more assertive shot of coffee to balance the richness and provide a deeper kick. Beyond the tailored coffee selection, the venue truly shines with its service and unique offerings. The staff are incredibly friendly, making everyone feel welcome. A great feature is the cocktail on tap selection, which they proactively allow guests to sample before ordering, ensuring you find exactly what you like. Best of all, this spot caters to night owls, keeping its doors open late until midnight, making it a perfect destination for a late-evening treat or nightcap. This cafe delivers a unique, enjoyable, and high-quality experience centered on creative coffee drinks and exceptional...
Read moreOverhyped cafe that falls squarely short of expectations. Service was quite lacking and food was very mediocre - I’ve tried their matcha, matcha swiss roll and some finger food on my previous visit, all of which were just alright. The cafe is always crowded and although social media makes it looks aesthetic and vibey, it is not very pleasant to actually dine at due to the cramped outlay and the lacklustre service. They also don’t seem to have a limited dining duration policy, which means that there will be people studying or working at the premise even during peak hours on Saturdays, making it impossible to get a seat - and due to the cramped space, you’ll be asked to wait outdoors in the sweltering heat or pouring rain - it was the latter for us today. The whole process of waiting and getting seated is also extremely disregarded and staff are not very proactive or helpful, making the overall experience unpleasant. After standing around waiting for a seat, we were finally offered a table. But a few minutes later, they told us we had to give up our table to sit at the counter bar seats instead due to some arrangement they had with another customer earlier ; clearly a result of poor communication and coordination from their staff on their part.
Frustrated by a multitude of issues, we ended up going to the nearby KACJ coffee cafe, which had way better service, spacious vibey seating and amazing matcha and pastries. Would recommend checking this cafe...
Read moreBrooos & Co is a fantastic spot for matcha lovers by day and cocktail enthusiasts by night. We tried both the Isuzu and Aoarashi Uji matchas—each offering a distinct experience. The Isuzu had a bold, slightly astringent character, while the Aoarashi leaned on the sweeter, more delicate side, making it perfect for those who prefer a smoother matcha profile. The drinks were beautifully presented, with a rich, frothy texture that showcased the quality of the matcha.
Despite visiting on a rainy Saturday afternoon when the café was packed, the staff handled the crowd efficiently. They were attentive in managing the queue, ensuring a smooth flow of customers, and moved us to our seats expeditiously. Their friendliness and professionalism made the experience even more enjoyable, setting a welcoming tone despite the hustle and bustle.
The space itself has a sleek, industrial-chic aesthetic, with a metallic interior that adds to the modern yet cozy atmosphere. As the sun sets, the café transforms into a bar, offering a unique dual-experience in one place. With an impressive tap selection and creative cocktail names, the transition from tea to spirits is seamless. Whether you’re here for a calming matcha in the afternoon or a craft cocktail at night, Brooos & Co delivers on both fronts. Definitely...
