From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere exuded warmth and exclusivity, with an intimate setting that immediately put me at ease. Each dish served was a masterpiece, crafted with the utmost care and precision. The chef’s passion was evident in every bite, with ingredients that were not only exceptionally fresh but also paired in creative and thoughtful ways.

Read moreTruly deserving the title of best omakase in jb. This was a culinary delight and an exceptional experience through chef Richard. I think for this omakase it hits all the spots of being an interactive experience and watching the chef.
Food: sushi and fish was really fresh. The chefs were very skilful and the fish tasted very nice because of their raw preparation. I think the chawanmushi could have been improved since they steam the ikura it actually releases water making it a little soggy. They should have put the ikura at the end after steaming. My personal favourites 🍣: Engawa: it is the fin section of the flounder fish and boy it was the best flounder fish I’ve had. It was fatty, sweet melt in your mouth. Crazy good. Chutoro: the presentation was incredible and it was melt in your mouth.
Service: very attentive servers esther and another server(sry I didn’t catch the name). I enjoyed their warm hospitality. They were very hardworking and the service was exceptional through the small things they do. Everyone was very warm and friendly there they were nice to celebrate my mums birthday! Atmosphere: they had some animated screen of the ocean in the background. It was creative as it reminded me of eating fish from the sea in a way.

Read moreSushi Yoru in Johor Bahru offers an unforgettable omakase experience, perfect for celebrations or simply indulging in a quality meal. From the attentive service to the thoughtfully crafted dishes, everything about the experience was a delight.
We went for the RM388++ lunch menu, which included Zensai, creamy Chawanmushi, two types of fresh sashimi that melted in your mouth, six expertly prepared nigiri sushi pieces, a delicious cod fish hot dish, premium Uni Temaki (top-grade uni!), soup, and a dessert. Every dish was beautifully presented and showcased the chef's meticulous attention to detail and passion for their craft.
The sashimi stood out for its exceptional freshness, and the overall quality of the food was excellent. While the miso soup wasn’t to my personal liking and felt a bit bland, it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal.
The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly, professional, and accommodating. When we missed our initial reservation due to a massive traffic jam, the restaurant graciously allowed us to reschedule without any penalties—a gesture that truly reflects their commitment to customer satisfaction.
We were celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, and the staff surprised us with complimentary cake, which added an extra special touch to the occasion. The entire experience lasted about two hours, and every moment...
