Secret Recipe @ City Square Mall — Restaurant in Johor

Was purchasing Banana Chocolate Cake on 31 December 2024 at this Outlet (JB Sentral) - (1) We were queuing up, and when it’s our turn, the Cashier just walk away from us and slowly make her way to her colleague who is packing a cake. She just stand beside her and kept talking. I can see that when she is serving her 1 Customer before us, she knows that we are queuing. Shortly after around 20 - 30 seconds talking to her colleague, then she come and serve us (2) we ordered take away Banana Chocolate, the price tag indicated to the public is RM 10.80. But we were being asked to pay at the price of RM 12.00. We were confused and we still went over to the price tag to see again and it was really RM 10.80. Then only after that she just tells us in 1 short sentence - they do not have any price tag at RM 12.00. So they continue to put price tag RM 10.80. After we purchase our item, we went off but when I’m walking away, I was looking at her aftermath action and I can only say not only did she not trying to figure out on how to change the price tag to RM 12.00 so that there won’t be any miscommunication for other customers, she just carry on doing her other stuff like as if nothing happened…

Never going there again…

I waited for 22mins for my drinks after placing an order. Only then i got my drinks but not my foods. Went to the counter and ask if they did receive my order. The cashier said yes and i ask how long do i need to wait for my order. As she claimed my order is in queue. From what i see it wasn't full house. And I came before others who already received their foods and drinks. My table for 3 have an order of 1 Golden crispy chicken, 1 Arrabiata Salmon, 1 Spaghetti Bolognese chicken. Ice plum lime juice, plain water and teh tarik. 45 mins only then the food arrived. To my both the pasta is a total let down. The arrabiata base sauce is salty. The worse part is the chicken bolognese. The tomato sauce is not tomato sauce its water as in real water that can been seen at plate. The chicken chunk and tomato sauce became dry and the chef just scoop it and put in on top of the pasta. Oh my god, I used to be a western food chef and the food that the so called chef perpared is totally bad. Does the chef have a experience cooking western food? If no then send him or her for a training. He or her can't even cook a simple pasta. The teh tarik is tasteless. The scan to order system is super slow. To be honest I wasn't expecting this from Secret Recipe Malaysia. Such a let down. Wasn't worth the...

I went there as walk in customer with a group of 5 person . The crew said they have customer reserved for one section of the restaurant and had instructed us to seat at only few available area. We were fine with that. We start to scan and submit ours order. Fast forward , we have to wait for the foods almost an hour. In between an hour we had asked the crew “ why we still didn’t get our order ?” and without feeling of guilty the crew said “ we have to prepare the foods for customer that has reserved first, we had 2 companies reserved with us today” , we all were shocked with the answer.

If you can’t cope with too many orders at lunch time, then u should close for walk in order or else u should informed customer earlier - serving time will taken longer from usual, does the customer willing to wait? But not when we had received our drinks and 30 minutes afterward. You were not even said sorry for lateness and longer time waiting. The fried rice served to us even cold. Terrible. The conclusion is SR CS JB is not recommend to others.Bad serving time as well as lack of ethic on how to serve...
