Recommending Braised Beef Noodle and Yam Xiao Long Bao. Prompt Service.

Braised Beef Noodle 5* - Third time having it but still loving it. Firm and chewy beef meat and jelly like cartilage inside a delectably red braised soup together with springy noodle was a great experience. Soup itself was of a lighter flavor just makes me wanna go for more.

Sesame and peanut noodle 3.5* - No meat, only sauce and noodle. Sesame fragrance makes you drool but sauce was too little.

Hot & Sour Soup with Shrimp 3.5* - Fresh prawns, thin rectangular beancurd slices, egg flower in a mild tasting soup, slightly savory, mainly vinegar sourish. It was ok.

Pork Chop Fried Rice 3* - Was disappointed this time, definitely not at its best.

Pork Xiao Long Bao 4* - Yummy when eaten with ginger slices, vinegar and soy sauce. Eaten alone, hope it can be more flavorful & juicy.

Yam Xiao Long Bao 4.5* - One mouthful, yummy gooey yam burst out from the bao. Value for $$.

Mini Yam Bun 4* - Fresh yam paste, only a little sweet.

Spicy Shrimp & Pork Wanton 4.5* - Scrumptious wanton in a savoury spicy sauce.

Egg Tofu with Spinach and Mushroom 3.5* - Shiitake Mushroom was excellent, tofu great, spinach ok, all covered in a delicious gooey savory sauce that goes well with rice. Price abit steep though.

I am writing to compliment the impeccable services and manners rendered by Mr Tee Shun Lee of JB City Square Mall branch.

We had meals in City Square Mall Din Tai Fung in June and were very impressed with Mr Tee's services to diners. 6 months later, we decided to return and we were surprised that he still remembers us. It's like meeting an old friend. He made sure our order was correct and food was all served. Even my children were looking out for him as he was also very friendly with my children, asking for their likes and chatted with them. His smile and efficiency to services is commendable and other staff should learn from him.

Although there was a long queue outside the restaurant, Mr Tee was always on smiles and patiently listening to the customers. I didn't see him giving any unhappy faces to any customers during my wait in the queue. He was polite to the customers in the queue and thanked them for their patience and patronise.

Of course, the food in City Square Din Tai Fung is always fabulous! We always order the yummy xiao long bao which is always served piping warm and the delicious prawn paste, drunken chicken and mayo prawns. All the food is fresh and nicely prepared.

Mr Tee has added an extra special touch to our family meal. His warmth, patience, friendliness and sincerity is very much appreciated and applauded for in the service...

I typically don't write reviews, but I believe the staffs at Din Tai Fung Malaysia, located at City Square Mall in Johor Bahru, truly deserves recognition. I always dine at Din Tai Fung City Square many times, and not once have they disappointed me. It's not just their delicious food that keeps me coming back, but also the exceptional service they provide. To me, a great restaurant is a combination of excellent food and top-notch service, and Din Tai Fung excels in both aspects.

One thing you'll consistently notice at Din Tai Fung is the staff's exceptional hospitality, particularly their manager, Mr. Shun Lee. Mr. Shun Lee is an outstanding manager who always ensures that every customer has an enjoyable dining experience. His warm smile and dedication to guest satisfaction are truly commendable.

Recently, I brought my family to dine at Din Tai Fung, and as usual, Mr. Shun Lee personally assisted us. My family had a wonderful time, savoring the delicious meals, and to our surprise, the staff even sang and danced to celebrate my mum and aunt's birthdays.
