Tucked away in the heart of Malaysia is Anne Lourdes, a delightful jewel of Southern European gastronomy and the baby sister of the renowned Anne Elizabeth. Anne Lourdes boasts a unique identity, distinct from Anne Elizabeth, inviting patrons into a tantalizing world of flavours that leave a lasting impression.
Each dish, though smaller in portion compared to Anne Elizabeth, is an explosion of taste, with every morsel showcasing the restaurant's impeccable attention to culinary detail. Variety of home-cured bacon is a must-try, we choose the black pepper slow-cooked bacon and the balanced ratio of fat to meat is enjoyable, though it does err on the saltier side, so if you're dining with elderly, be mindful.
As for the Nicoise Salad, it's a vibrant medley of flavours. It expertly juxtaposes the crunchy greens with the tanginess of the dressing, a refreshing palate cleanser that paves the way for the mains.
The Spanish Prawn in Wine is a unanimous favourite. Each prawn, succulent and well-seasoned, basks in a rich, mouth-watering gravy that adds depth to the overall dish. A chorus of approval follows every bite of the Iberico Pizza, with its perfect harmony of cheese, crust and toppings. The Smoked Salmon Pizza is equally impressive, offering a delicate balance of smokiness and freshness.
The Roasted Pork Confit, or the “Angmo” siu yok', is remarkable. The crackling skin contrasts beautifully with the tender meat beneath, which is juicy and flavourful. The accompanying sauces add diverse, exciting layers to the dish, while the roasted apple cuts through the richness, offering a refreshing bite.
Unfortunately, the Angus Beef Roulade was a slight disappointment, with the meat being a tad overcooked, and thus, tougher than desired. However, the French Potato Gratin more than compensated for this minor misstep. It was wonderfully creamy, with a subtle hint of garlic and a beautiful layer of golden-brown cheese on top, resulting in a comforting blend of textures and flavours.
A special shout-out goes to Sandra, who FOC a Grilled Prawn and Pomegranate Salad to us.
It was a feast for the senses and a fitting end to our culinary adventure at Anne Lourdes. As we left, we were not just satiated, but also enchanted by the restaurant's delectable offerings. With its bold flavours and meticulous presentation, Anne Lourdes is a must-visit...

The place was cosy and buzzing with all the people there. Long queue outside. Reservation highly recommended.

💗 Prawn bisque was delicious! Best eaten hot.
💗 I would absolutely go again just for the Button Mushroom Casserole..
💗 Crispy Pork Confit is like a western siewyoke. Skin was very crunchy while the meat was melt in the mouth. A bit fatty but awesome for sharing.
❤️ Iberico pizza has a delectable smokey and savoury taste. Had a bit of a cheesy pull too. Liked that it was thin crust.
❤️ Cold Cut Platter Chef's Selection is a good way to taste a few different types of cured meat cuts. Although am probably gonna try some other meats there in the future.
❤️ Fresh Apple + Pear was really fresh and refreshing.
❤️ Have in-house made gelato. Some alcoholic flavours. We tried the Bourbon Cranberry and they did not skimp on the Bourbon.
We weren't given any free water though so not sure if that's a thing there.
Food is heavy and filling.
Service: 👍 Seated fast with reservation.
👍 Food was served very quickly after placing order at the counter.
👍 If you hold out a phone to take a selfie, a waiter comes and offers to take the picture for you and they take decent pictures.
👍 Responsive, respectful and welcoming service.
👍 Sang the birthday song, had a sash and tiara for the birthday girl.
They don't sell cakes but you can bring your own cake which they'll bring out at the appropriate time OR you can buy their inhouse-made Gelatos and they can decorate it, put a candle on it and do the whole shabang.
Just note that they may accidentally tell the birthday person that they have a birthday thing so maybe not a good place for a surprise celebration.
Price: 💸💸💸 Some things are more pricey but overall, I'd say it's reasonably priced for the type and portion of food, taste and quality of service.
Parking: Roadside, bring umbrella if raining.
Driving note: Google maps doesn't seem to know that the road the restaurant is on is one-way so all of us got caught going in the wrong direction. Beware of that.
Verdict: It's far from where I live and I can't eat this type of food everyday but I'm definitely coming again and bringing other...
Read moreOrdered: Cheese platter, medium-rare Black Angus ribeye, medium-well smoked duck (if I remember correctly), vodka coffee gelato, and Kyoto green tea gelato.
Food: Cheese Platter: Nothing particularly special, but with the price, it was reasonable.
Black Angus Ribeye: I had high expectations but was left disappointed. While the sauces were great, the steak itself lacked flavor and tenderness. Despite requesting a steak with minimal chew and no tendons, it didn’t meet my expectations. For the price, which is on the higher side, I expected much better quality.
Smoked Duck: Quite tough to chew and even difficult to cut. It lacked flavor and didn’t compare to how duck is typically prepared.
Gelatos: The Kyoto green tea gelato was excellent and a standout of the meal. However, the vodka coffee gelato was underwhelming, the alcohol flavor was barely noticeable, which was disappointing considering the high price.
Service: The service was exceptional. Despite walking in on a crowded Tuesday night and being told to wait for 20 minutes, we were seated sooner. While waiting, we were offered complimentary drinks and snacks, which made us feel very welcome. Staff were highly attentive and responsive throughout the evening.
Environment: The restaurant is beautifully decorated, but it’s quite noisy, making it hard to chat. The tables are also quite close together, which detracts from the overall dining experience.
Parking: Limited, but it’s manageable.
Overall: This visit was underwhelming. While I believe other dishes like seafood or pizza might be better, the ones we tried fell short of expectations. With the restaurant’s strong reviews and higher prices, I was hoping for a much better experience. There’s definitely room for improvement in the food quality, though the service and ambiance were...
