No wonder their review can sustain 3.8+ until now, they ask customer for 5 star review to have a scoop of 'fully crystalize Bskin Rbins' Ice cream.
Been wanted to come to this cafe for a long time already, too bad it's too disappointing for me.
Ordered two set lunch which is Piggy Sandwich and Asam Pedas Mutton Pasta, it came with drinks and a scoop of ice cream.
Piggy Sandwich -very big portion, THE PLATE BIG ONLY. Some fries with slices of watermelon, with a complimentary Tomyam Soup(why Tomyam soup with sandwich I don't know), and a dry hard ciabatta with a dry 10cm x 5cm x 0.5cm(thick) slice of pork. This is the most thinnest pork 'patty' I have ever had.
Asam Pedas Mutton Pasta -flavor was okay, mutton was soft and tender enough. But it's too dry for a cream based pasta. But for a Asam Pedas local dish, the dish itself it's not near Asam Pedas at all.
Americano -it's a cafe then make a good coffee please. Did the staff going through calibration process everyday before opening the cafe? The coffee taste profile is already burned and it's more than a dark roast already.
Ice Cream -I'm not sure is it Bskin Rbins ice cream(I didn't really look into the logo of the big ice cream pint). But for a branded ice cream, how can it be SOOO ICY, it's even worst than the supermarkets ones. I'm eating more ice than the ice cream here.
Service -staff was all foreigners, with no smile and dunno any simple english. They were not confident with themselves, when customer got questions, they will go blank and ganjiong. No welcome, no thank you bye bye. Even the barista/bartender was wearing slipper. You are a medium high cafe serving expensive food and your service staffs wearing slippers and touching their mouth and lips all the time?
Price -I know all your surrounding neighbourhood is atas people, all living in hilltop bungalow, then you set the price like KL Bukit Bintang and Damansara, Mont Kiara restaurant price. These places they set high price but their food has high standard, but here with low standard food with high price,...
Read moreNeighbourhood cafe. Nice and elegant at the inside. Suitable for both small gathering or some special occassion at times. Serves wine, whisky and brandy. Prices are above average for the “atas” food, prices are like when you dine in at Stratto/Cielo/some high class restaurants/hotels, but given at its location, prices considered relatively high. They also serves normal cafe food, reasonably priced.
Food review: Salad is a no, vegetables are soft and not crunchy, doesn’t taste refreshing. Grilled chicken chop was good, wild mushroom spaghetti was nice and aromatic. Carbonara was normal. Ferrero rocher cake (RM18) is very small in piece but taste wise it is still good.
Beverage review: Mocha is not strong enough, latte was a little bitter (think coffee was over brewed? Or the beans problem, not too sure). Cappucino was fine. Haha, overall acceptable.
Downside: services were kinda slow. A few times i was here and we almost finished our food, beverages are still not served. Asked waitress but they doesn’t seem to understand my problem (Maybe due to they are foreigners, language barrier). But as told by staff, there was just 1 barrister at work, so they couldn’t cope. Thats a must for improvements, seriously it took too long for a cuppa. Then, there was once that the waitress served me with their own fork which the quality is really a no-no. Some spoon have dirts on it too. After the issue was highlighted to the management staff, they changed me a new set. Hygiene level to be improved better. But for a newly opened cafe, i think it will be better in the future. For now, i will give it a 3 stars since there’s still some details that they need to pick up with. Hope they could really listen to customers feedback and make improvements accordingly.
Will revisit.

Read moreThe atmosphere is what got me there but overall i rated only 3 stars because of the vibes (or the lack of it) from the staff, that’s also why i rated only 1 star for their staff rating.
Besides the female manager and a local servers, the others are all foreign workers who cannot understand the simplest of Malay and English. This, i will blame only the manger for the lack of training.
Used plates and cutlery putting on the table and nobody cared to clear them, i asked for some tissues and the server just point to me there is a tissue box at the far end of our table of 12. Poor level of service like this would make me feel shameful to collect 10% of service charge from my more than RM 2000.00 bill. Dont ever think of using “busy” as an excuse because on 2/1/2024, from 6pm until we left, there was never one time there were more than 5 tables of customers!
Most important of all, you guys have forgotten to smile, always remember to serve with a smile, i dont buy only your food, i buy also the whole dining experience. You guys dont seem to me that you are happy with your job. Again, i blame only the person who is responsible in training the staff.
I will certainly go back again but only for the beers because u like the view from the balcony. Dining wise no, not again, certainly not putting up a party anymore.
To the manager, my daughter’s birthday cake has been a letdown, big big letdown for her 18th birthday but this i blame myself for trusting you. On the other hand, you can stop being to hard-selling what you want but start listening more to what...
