Big Three Food Square KL — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

This upscale looking Food Square located just beside Starbucks (at the previous CIMB space). It contains Kopi Pot for Breakfast & Lunch (8am-5pm), Hanatei Xclusive Japanese Restaurant for Lunch (11.30am-2.30pm) & Dinner (5pm-10pm) and So-Bar for drinking session (4pm-12am). Dining at Hanatei is a good experience; the food ingredient quality, presentation & taste is all good and it's more worth it with their Lunch Menu. Dim Ng at Kopi Pot however is a disappointment, the Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak is below average for its rice, condiments & sambal that is not tasty & oily (Kam's better). Their fried anchovy is chewy, not crispy, their Fried Chicken has herbs taste but is not juicy & they charge for any additional sambal (Kam's can give extra rice or sambal for free). The Dry & Soup Curry Chicken Noodle is a disappointment, not tasty & oily. The Hainan Chicken Rice is oily & the rice is hard, like it's raw. The Fishball Noodle is average. I don't think there's anywhere else you can get a salted kopi & margarita to go with your nasi lemak & unagi don (all super yums, by the way), with attentive servers to boot! Price is reasonable for the portions, by KL standards. Overall had a great time here. The ambience is pretty unique... Chill music upfront, Japanese in the back (following the layout itself I guess). I don't know if the tables are spaced out because of SOPs or ambience but either way, it feels very comfortable.
