Wht a very bad customer service. It was extremely slow. My wife n I ordered 2 cold drinks which took a while to reach us. My wife order a poori set which arrived like 10mins later. My order of masala thosai took longer. I ordered a madras coffee upon receiving my thosai n waited n waited. I finished my cold thosai with only e masala which was warm. Sambar n chattini was more of a soup. The man at e counter (I was sitted near to e counter) saw tht I was alrdy frustrated with my thosia being late. I got fed up n left to pay for my sad meal even though it was late n cold. But wht I was even fed up was tht there was a Chinese customer who was very promptly served with a rice meal together with a hot tea by e counter staff n another waiter. (Mind you tht the Chinese gentleman came when I was half way into my cold thosai). There were at least 8 over staff walking ard . The counter staff was let known for e slow n poor service n e double standard.. He didn't bother to apologise. The coffee came only as I was walking out which was 15min after i ordered n requestng it to be served during my meal. I said I don't need it n left. As a customer , I m never...
Read moreThis place is not too far off from the main Tun Jalan Sambanthan road . Saw that the place was brightly lit up so decided to give this place a try . Appreciate that this shop is built under a tree and with green at the entrance . Improvement could be on the lighting to be more warm, welcoming and relaxing ie focus on the ambiance . Also, despite having plenty of floor staff, most of them are not proactive to come to the table to check if things are ok. I ordered a garlic butter naan but the order was forgotten. Waited for a long time and only after getting the attention of one of the staff (most floor were just stationed inside the cafe even though the shop was empty), he asked what was the order . Then only the naan was made within short time . I think management could improve on the work culture and managing their staff well so to ensure that they are not standing or sitting idle, waiting for the closing hour of the shop . The food was decent, fair price . The roofing for outdoor sitting could also be improved as though rain had stopped, there were still small water droplets falling...
Read moreJust dhabba style indian. If you go with women everybody stares. While i was sitting foreigners came and among them some females were wearing not small but sorts and stop and everybody was staring 'em just like a thirst dog. I was with my and we were astonished to see such environment. Food for us: may be others like but we didn't, first of all they have different variety of common food so taste is not what you'd expect. We also ordered 'faluda', one of the most common dessert in subcontinent, and guess what, they mixed three different ice cream scoops and dang your faluda is on your table. So ate a bit and left. Even staff was least interested in doing their work. The waiter who served us at first was no where to be found for asking tissue paper etc and later asked a another guy who went and never came back to me but roaming and seating few customers. This was entirely my experience, may be yours could be different, did not want to point fingre at anyone just letting people know before they plan to go such...
