The Sam Kow Tong Temple in Brickfields is a Chinese Fujian style temple. Like many temples from Fujian province, the roof is decorated with elaborate sculptures that extend gracefully outwards. The sculptures depict predominantly Chinese dragons, but in a mix of colourful sculptures, relief, and 3 dimensional mosaics to form dragons.

Ever since investments has gone into redeveloping Brickfields, skyscrapers have gone up. The modernity contrasts sharply with the traditional. design of the temple. I think the temple is worth a quick visit if you...

Prayers is also easy as it they have marking of numbers of each and every altar so just pray according to the numbers sequence. You can double park your car if you visit and do prayers. The parking uncle is good and friendly. There is plenty of eatery stall within the vinicity of the...

Another rare Hinghua temple in town, this temple is more than 100 years old and is expanding by having another block of building next to this historical template. My grandmother used to go there more than 80 years ago and a picture of grandmother is hung up on the war of the old temple too. They pray to the goddess of Sea, Mah Zu.
