This evening we went for dinner here and sadly disappointed at the sudden drop in quality. To start with, we were greeted by smelly uniforms won by the waiters and to add to this smell, the bad odour floating around the tables were even worse. Apparently, they don't launder their uniforms or the cloth wipers for the tables. Even though we moved to the next table, the stale pungent odour was still lingering in the air. Next, coming to the service issue...We weread to wait for a good 45 minuts plus after which all the items got served all together even though we had requested to be served the tea and snacks first. Imagine having to eat the main meal and refreshments all in one go. Last but not least important, I would like to point out the quality of the meal itself. The kappa fry was full of garlic this time ..The pumpkin Elisheri was the weirdest. It was a concoction of some vegetables (don't know what they were) all mashed up into a pulp with a dash of coconut flakes on the top. Worse still, this dish had an abundant dose of garlic mixed into the pulp so rendering it practically inedible. And oh, what was the soggy potatoes from the cheta chicken curry doing in the vegetarian Kappa fried meal? The Cheta chicken curry was another mess up since it was made with a unique twist whereby the spicy curry that was promised turns out to be sweet curry...The fried fish in the menu turns out to be another scary adventure as it turns out to be a stale fish. On requesting for fresh fish we are still served with smelly fish and then we realised that though this was fresh fish the second time around, however, it was merely pan fried (hurriedly it seems)and not deep fried as expected ted for a Karee Meen fry in the menu. Either the chef has no knowledge about Kerala food or it was a mishap due to shortage of kitchen staff or shortage of kitchen raw materials or is it because it was more crowded with walk in customers today and the regular customer was given a royal ditch? This fall in quality is too disappointing and so sad that I had to write about this incident on top of our previous good experiences! Moreover, we are visiting this place to eat authentic Keralite dish as promised , but , it seems that either the chef are experimenting or not knowledgeable in cooking these dishes. Then, why not remove these dishes that are too challenging for the chefs and just stick to simple dishes that they are already familiar with?? Seriously, it was far from being a five star experience as opposed to the five star pricing though...We dont want to eat experimental weird meals at the cost of burning our pockets.

Dining at Gajaa at Bangsar was an incredible experience that I won’t soon forget! The combination of authentic flavors, excellent presentation, and exceptional service made it truly memorable. Our server, Ramandeep, was a gem. Her warm demeanor, deep knowledge of the menu, and attentive service made us feel so welcomed and well taken care of throughout the evening. The meal itself was a feast of flavors. The Palak Paneer was a standout – creamy, vibrant, and perfectly spiced, with tender cubes of paneer that practically melted in the mouth. The dish was artfully plated, with drizzles of cream and a dash of chili oil that added a hint of heat. The Malabar Chicken was another star of the night. The rich, aromatic curry packed a punch of spices, perfectly balanced with tender chicken pieces that soaked up all the wonderful flavors. We also tried the Prawn Kizhi, a beautifully wrapped banana leaf parcel that revealed a medley of succulent prawns in a flavorful gravy. The steaming hot dish was bursting with spices and had a subtle smoky undertone from the banana leaf – absolutely divine. To complement the curries, we indulged in their Garlic Cheese Naan. Soft, fluffy, and generously topped with garlic and melted cheese, it was the perfect accompaniment to soak up the flavorful gravies. The ambiance at Gajaa was equally impressive – cozy, elegant, and inviting, making it a perfect spot for any occasion. A huge thanks to Ramandeep for making the night extra special with her attentive and friendly service. If you’re looking for authentic Indian cuisine with a modern touch, Gajaa at Bangsar is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu!

This is my first time here . The restaurant is easy to find but parking outside is limited. There's a nearby parking spot for rm 10 . The restaurant is big and there's plenty of seating. It's better for you to make a reservation if you're coming as a big group . This restaurant is a Kerela cuisine inspired restaurant and its amazing. The deco is nice and large seating The staff here is amazing ( we were served by rocky )Once we're seated we're greeted by the staff and a complimentary drink and a small history of the restaurant. The menu has a wide variety and even the drinks is amazing. The portion is small / medium sized. We ordered palak paneer and we asked it to be spicy and when it wasn't, they brought it back and re-cooked it again. I would say the server was nice and friendly. We were there for my fiancé's birthday and they were sweet enough to make a custom card wirh our photo which was just taken earlier. That's extremely sweet of him tbh. The only con for me was the wait time. The drinks took little to no time but the food was abit late. Waited around 20 to 30 mins but the server was nice enough to apologies and check on us frequently. I do recommend coming here and trying their food out. ( if you come in a small group maybe you'll get served fast as they would usually serve everything all at once)

I'm happy with everything, with their food, and communication method. But there is only one unsatisfaction that I would like to highlight here. The space was very small. My event taken place at Gajaa at 8 and the total guest around 40 pax plus including kids. Supposedly, our event hall was at level 1 and because of elderly they suggested the event hall at ground floor ,2 days before event. I was clear that, I want the space to be spacious and they said it can be arranged. On the event day, it was a bit disappointing because the hall was so so small, its not supposedly for 40 pax overall. it looks like it can fit like 20 plus pax comfortably. We cant even move around and the decoration space was so small and blocked by chairs, like seriously, even in the pictures we can see the chairs blocking the decoration view. It's had to event stand and cut the cake there, the space is very limited. My guest all question me with the space being so compact and hard to move around. They blocked a space for us with 4 tables because there is another event going right next to us. I prefer they informed us with the arragements beforehand. If they have told me earlier that it will be this small, I would have just taken the 1st floor hall as it is bigger. Otherwise everything was okay, except the space. They give free photography as well. That was a lil unexpected, the quality. There is no proper picture like professional. They use professional camera but not the clicks, the pictures was not taken properly. If I knew this before I would have hire from outside a photographer. The service was okay but I would have to go find the staff most of the time to asked them to refilled the food, water and taking pictures. As in the package and communication they said one table will be setup as dome and there will be maharaja tea cycle, which I did not get both at that time and I clearly understand because of the space limitation, but I'm still paying the full amount for all that to be included. However, The food was delicious, the ambience of the place is nice and the staff was helpful.Thank you for cater us and I hope in future it will...

When I first reached out to inquire details the person chatting seemed very pleasant and helpful. I was given details and I was happy so I booked their private room for a birthday party.

Come the day of the event I was told I can come at 2.45 to set up the room before the birthday girl comes. Reached there and saw the 4 VIP spots promised to us was taken by the earlier event crowd. I was told to sit in the car until the room is clear and cars are removed. All my guest were forced to wait in their cars.

Then around 3pm we were allowed to go in to the room but we had to double park our cars because the earlier crowd hadn't left yet. Surprise went off without a hitch but then food was served and I was being told by most of the guest that the food was salty. The mutton cuttles had no taste of mutton. I was very disappointed because I have never received complaints like that.. It was embarrassing.

There was another party happening outside and they were blasting the music so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talking. Find out there is only a curtain blocking us from that party.

Then 5.30pm came and we were being asked to tell our guest that they want to start cleaning as if telling me to ask my guest to leave so they can clean. The birthday cake I gave them to cut didn't come back to me. The pieces served were all small.

I noticed after the party ended that some deco was not done as I asked and there was no photographer which in earlier convo I was told there would be. When I asked again after the party I was told no Hi-Tea no photographer. I was sent a photo of the Hi-Tea flyer with a huge circle showing that there is no photographer and that I was wrong.

I showed the messages from earlier but still I was told I am wrong that they explained to me clearly and I made the choice. I am only thankful my guest enjoyed meeting up and catching up and the birthday girl was happy. I would not recommend this place for events. Communication was bad and not clear at all.. I spent a lot of money which I...
