Halab Castle Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur

Given its high ratings I tried this restaurant out, but it didn't meet the high expectations. The restaurant seems new and is very nicely decorated and fitted with marble tables, and is very clean with lots of waiters standing about. I ordered the mixed grill plate and it took some time to arrive, which is fair enough as it needs to be cooked from scratch. Sadly, when it arrived, the bread was hotter than the meat dish. The meat quality is ok, maybe three stars, but nothing outstanding to match the high ratings. The small tabouleh saled that's part of the mixed grill plate isn't anything special either. The bread which was fresh and hot, and the small garlic dip were the best part of the meal. These two items are very good, say 4-5 stars. Maybe worth trying the restaurant again and hopefully the meat may be as good as Google's ratings suggest.

PS. This seems to be a new restaurant that may have used the high ratings from a previous restaurant. The new name and exact location are different from the old name on Google...

I found this incredible restaurant in the Chankat area that serves outstanding Arabic cuisine. They also have options for Indian and Western dishes, and trust me, they are fantastic! The portions are generous and perfect for sharing with someone. We had a n Arabic Shawarma and chicken biryani, both were reallly good. The staff is really attentive and responsive, even when the place is packed. You should definitely try their carrot juice - it's my personal favorite!

I’m unable to explain or judge what happened, but once we were given a table, we were completely ignored by the staff. Some would argue that maybe it was lack of staff, but there was equal amount of staff than of guests.
