After sitting down at the bar alone the staff seemed to be very friendly. I ordered a pint and asked to see the menu. I was looking for something local though the selection is very limited. Nasi lemak, a chicken masala curry and one other dish I don't recall; that however made my decision easy. I'd go for the curry which I promptly tried to order. This is where the farce began. I was told that ye curry was finished and I'd have to re-order. I took the nasi lemak. a couple took seat next to me who I chatted with only to be followed by the gentleman reviewing the menu and ordered the same curry I had wanted. I said to the staff member what is going on as I didn't want fried chicken wing and rice and he said the chicken masala curry was available but the chicken curry was not. He then said that there was an extra menu where they do have a chicken curry and that he would prove this and that it was this curry that was in fact finished. My order by the way was and ready prepared. I said I didn't want the chicken wing with rice and I want what I originally requested which was the chicken curry (the only curry dish on the menu he gave me) cue frustration I'll order both dishes as i was hungry, money no issue and ill eat some of both. The waiter pictured couldn't find himself able to just leave matters there, instead he thought he should exonerate himself from any blame so continued to talk down to me saying that I must know that the mix up was my fault. This was when I became infuriated. I said there is only 1 curry on the menu that he presented me with what curry did he think I wanted to order? He carried on, I lost my cool and asked to see the manager. In rolls a Lithuanian woman with the social skills of a polar bear. I explained clearly what had happened and this fell of totally deaf ears. As mechanical as a robot and with the charm of a street rat she too felt I was partly to blame for the mix up Rage! By this stage I had food going cold on the bar and another order of curry on the way. No attempt to appease my situation was made I so I said take the food away and nd cancel what I've additionally ordered. I'll go somewhere that actually know what service is. By this time the melee had a little volume to it what with the bar staff infuriating me the this nasty wench of a Lithuanian woman and in steps Steve, canny Irish man, softly spoken, listened intently and strangely understood exactly what had gone on. Steve asked me if there was anything that he could do or if I wanted anything else off the menu and I told him straight that after this situation would I trust anything coming out of the kitchen? He agreed and said he's been in the business 25yrs and was aware of my concerns that any other food would be deliberately tainted. Even after this debacle the same waiter (who was grating on me by then) wanted to point to an award that won in 2015 for food and service and such, I told the other bar staff to keep this imbecile away from me and tell him not to say another word. It seems in 3 years they have managed to flush down the toilet all the good work it must of taken to win that award. When I got my bill I saw the fried chicken wing which I'd sent away after one bite was still on it. I told them to remove it which they did. The only positive from the entire experience was Steve. I'd wager if he had of known from the start what had occurred it would've all been cleared up in a heart beat and kept calm and carried on. Instead this so called manager lady with personal skills that don't exist and a brain to match let the situation get completely out of hand with absolutely not a care about future business and or the reputation of the business. I really hope the owner reads this review and takes action based upon...

Read moreDO NOT GO IF YOU WANT TO WATCH RUGBY. When we arrived they were playing the rugby on two screens in one area and a football game on the rest, but sound was for the football. When we arrived we asked if they were showing the rugby and they said yes and that when the football ends they would switch the sound over to the rugby which we were fine with. During the football half-time we asked for them to switch over for 15 mins instead of some terrible music but they refused. When the football ended they resumed playing terrible music instead and when we asked for it to be switched over to the rugby we were told that other customers would complain... so basically some customers are more important than others?! I asked again and was rudely shouted at with the guy saying "no, we go with the majority" and walking off. Well, this might be news to him but I'm pretty sure the majority didn't want to listen to their god awful house/techno remixes either!! If we had known they would not switch it over to the rugby after the football like they told us, we would have left at half time. Eventually, another staff member turned on the one TV's volume ever so slightly for us for the final 5 minutes of the game whilst we had a techno remix of rhianna blasting in the background somewhat reminiscent of music you would expect to find in a poor excuse for a "club" in 2005. Hardly your typical Irish Pub atmosphere to say the least. Oh and the draught beer is shocking which only made the whole...
