Of all places, those in the city centre are the one I least explore.. particularly in Petaling Street area. There are quite a lot of cafes scattered in what used to be the prime business area, our Malaysia's very own Chinatown. After the decline, it is now experiencing rejuvenation of some sort with many new and hip restaurants and cafes opening their doors to the public.

Almost every street - Jalan Sultan, Jalan Tun H.S.Lee, Jalan Petaling and Jalan Panggung - has their own share of cafes opening up. The area suddenly became popular once again..

Kaffe 16 is one of those I'd visited not long ago. Occupying a long shophouse with cleverly designed interior, we spent one lazy weekday afternoon there having a light late lunch plus coffee.

◾Karaage chicken burger with lettuce, miso mayo and yuzu coleslaw. Moist & juicy poultry with crispy outer layer sandwiched in between 2 soft burger buns, and the miso mayo + yuzu coleslaw complemented the taste perfectly. ◾Le Sultan cake - a chocolate based cake that I would order once in a while.. just to satisfy the sweet tooth. ◾Flat white ◾Dirty Latte - I'd order this whenever I saw the word "dirty" in the menu. I don't really like diluted coffee so using chilled milk is a brilliant idea.

When downtown, this cafe can...

Came here for lunch on someone's recommendation. On weekday lunch times, any order of main course will get you a free cold brew coffee or tea of the day.

I had the K16 nasi special (RM18) which is fragrant rice served with 3 pieces of ayam goreng mamak and a side of acar and keropok. The rice was also topped with fried shallots which added some depth to the flavours and texture of the dish. The rice is pretty fragrant and enjoyable, while the fried chicken is fried to perfection - the insides were still juicy while the outside was marinated with spices, hence was very flavourful overall. Acar was not sweet enough for my taste, and keropok was a bit bland.

Ambience was very pretty, and since there's a void in the middle of the cafe where sun gets to shine in, it's very nostalgic and reminds me of olden times' houses designs. Plenty of comfortable seating available for you to chooss from too.

Coffee here was amazing, very fragrant and packs a good punch. Even if you don't stop by here for lunch, it's worth it to just stop by for a cup of coffee.

Service was good. Indian waiter was soft spoken and smiley, giving warm service and trying his best to accommodate...

Extremely happy and satisfied with their services ✅ Two males wearing spectacles skinny body I seriously impressed with their services and they deserve increment 👍🏽 From the entrance to our seat their services tiptop (polite, try to explain every queries and bought us a bottle of water while we are waiting) ✅ Quality of the foods 5/5 ⭐ Decoration of the cafe 5/5 ⭐ The only problem that I found out is the price Long Black in November 2020 - RM10 / Long Back in August 2022 - RM12 hopefully you guys stop increasing the price of the foods and beverages.

Taste : fried garlic rice + salmon 5/5 ⭐ (garlic rice not too oily and the salmon not stingy) / buttermilk pasta 5/5 ⭐(buttermilk taste is strong and karaage is soft and cripy) / chocolate cake 4.5/5 ⭐ (their chocolate cake you wont feel jelak which I like it) Price : would say on the higher side Quality of foods and Services 5/5 ⭐ Payment : cash, e-wallet and card ✅👍🏽 Environment : calm and it is a nice place to chill with your partner Seat : limited seat Parking : get ready to pay RM10 ❗

Definitely will come back again but hope no stop increasing the price of the foods...
