Of all places, those in the city centre are the one I least explore.. particularly in Petaling Street area. There are quite a lot of cafes scattered in what used to be the prime business area, our Malaysia's very own Chinatown. After the decline, it is now experiencing rejuvenation of some sort with many new and hip restaurants and cafes opening their doors to the public.
Almost every street - Jalan Sultan, Jalan Tun H.S.Lee, Jalan Petaling and Jalan Panggung - has their own share of cafes opening up. The area suddenly became popular once again..
Kaffe 16 is one of those I'd visited not long ago. Occupying a long shophouse with cleverly designed interior, we spent one lazy weekday afternoon there having a light late lunch plus coffee.
◾Karaage chicken burger with lettuce, miso mayo and yuzu coleslaw. Acar was not sweet enough for my taste, and keropok was a bit bland.
Ambience was very pretty, and since there's a void in the middle of the cafe where sun gets to shine in, it's very nostalgic and reminds me of olden times' houses designs. Plenty of comfortable seating available for you to chooss from too.
Coffee here was amazing, very fragrant and packs a good punch. Even if you don't stop by here for lunch, it's worth it to just stop by for a cup of coffee.
Service was good. Indian waiter was soft spoken and smiley, giving warm service and trying his best to accommodate...
