I have walked past the backdoor of this shop without realizing it was a dessert place, until I walked past the main entrance and saw the decor inside and wondered why would this shop occupy the whole building? Visited on a Friday afternoon with my friends and the place was rather quiet. Did spend some time downstairs checking out the decor and the cookies and the pastries display before deciding on what to order. There were some seats on the ground floor but we were recommended to get nicer seats above. Took a while to decide as not only there were pastries on display, there were still quite a selection of desserts available on the menu. Ended up ordering 2 pastries and 2 parfaits. The seats on the upper floor were definitely nicer and more comfortable. Couldn't remember the names of the pastries but we had a hojicha tart and then the bamboo which was the matcha. The hojicha tart tasted not bad but overall we agreed that the bamboo tasted much better because there were different layers of textures of ingredients, and we loved the red bean and the matcha sauce on top. The 2 parfaits which were very visually appealing failed to impress us. The only thing we thought it was good was that it didn't look as sweet as we thought by looking at the pictures and the entire dessert lacked depth. It looked nice but it just tasted very normal there wasn't really any element of surprise which could wow us. It was an overall okay meal. The prices of the pastries were a little on the expensive side while the parfaits were relatively reasonable. It was good that a friend was a member and we had discounts for it. Instagrammable...
