This is undoubtedly one of my Top 3 ramen places, and it consistently earns its spot on my must-visit list. The branch at TRX stands out for its spacious layout and cozy ambiance. Unlike some cramped ramen shops that can feel a bit overwhelming, this place gives you room to relax and enjoy your meal comfortably—making every visit feel just right. 🏮🍜
As expected with any famous Japanese ramen chain, the queue is a given. We visited during dinner hours, and yes, there was a line outside. After getting seated, there was a short wait for the food. But don’t worry—it’s worth every second. ⏳✨ The service is efficient, the turnover is quick, and the anticipation only makes the first bite taste even better.
Now, let’s talk about the ramen. The broth is absolutely magical—rich, silky, and deeply flavorful, yet not overly salty. 🥣👌 It’s the kind of broth you’ll want to savor down to the last drop. The noodles are perfectly cooked to your preference, whether you like them al dente or extra soft. I opted for the Tsukemen (dipping noodles), and oh my—it’s a flavor explosion with every bite. 🤤 Once you dip the noodles into that luscious broth, it’s like stepping into ramen heaven. This is the kind of dish that silences the table because everyone’s too busy enjoying it. 🫢🍜
The Sakura Ramen was equally stunning, with a beautifully balanced broth that hit all the right notes. 🌸
What made our experience even better was the seating—we got the best spot in the house! From here, we could watch the chefs in action, meticulously preparing every bowl of ramen with absolute precision. 👨🍳🔥 On the left side, we noticed four massive pots of broth simmering, each a testament to their dedication to perfecting their signature flavors. Every step, from the preparation of the noodles to the final presentation, was handled with care, ensuring each bowl was a masterpiece. 🥢✨
We’ve returned to this spot countless times, and it never fails to impress. 💯 Apart from their incredible ramen, don’t miss their side dishes! The Gyoza 🥟 and Karaage chicken 🍛 are absolute must-tries—they’re so good, they might just steal the show.
If you’re a ramen enthusiast, this place is non-negotiable. Kanbe Ramen at TRX is a dining experience that will leave you dreaming of your next visit. 💭🍜
Pro tip: be ready to queue, but trust me, it’s 100% worth the wait. You’ll thank...

After trying their Tonkotsu Ramen, came here this time to try their Tsukemen instead.
Overall, I loved the meal! The noodles were cooked just right, fresh, springy and al-dente. I added two pieces of chasu which were equally as fresh (no nasty porky smell) and had the right ratio of lean to fat meat.
The broth was full of flavour, umami and coats the noodles well. The bowl came with generous bits of pork cubes and slices of bamboo shoots and I just can't stop slurping even without the noodles.
This time I added on some black fungus which was comparatively better than the boiled cabbage 😅😅. The fungus was alright although these add-ons might be slightly expensive.
Having had both, I think I kinda liked their Tsukemen better than their Tonkotsu Ramen. And their broth is definitely better than Mitsuyado's (the only other Tsukemen I have tried).

Detoured here cos Shake Shack which was originally my intended lunch venue did not have chicken (whaaaaatttt).
Anyways... Noodles were good, springy and just right. I requested for less noodles to prevent wastage and the portion was just right for me. However, having tried other places their portions are comparatively smaller.
Taste wise, I prefer Kanbe over Ippudo. Bankara is somewhat similar I would say but Kanbe's soup is definitely better than Bankara's. Kanbe's chashu are also thicker and better, in my opinion.
Wanted to order other side dishes but had to remind myself not to be greedy thus ordered just a side of boiled cabbage. Tbh, this was a waste of money haha cos it's just boiled cabbage and the portion is so small.
The additional toppings available on the table were good additions though so putting them into my simple bowl made it look more extravagant.
Would probably come back to try their Tsukemen - but would not...
