I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sleeping Lion Suites in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, and I must say, it was a truly pleasant experience. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the helpfulness of the staff, everything contributed to making my stay both comfortable and memorable.
Room Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the room was top-notch. Upon entering, I immediately noticed the fresh, well-maintained ambiance. The room was spotless, with everything in place and no signs of dust or dirt. The bedding was clean and comfortable, which made for a restful night’s sleep. The housekeeping staff clearly takes pride in their work, and it showed.
Facilities: The facilities provided at Sleeping Lion Suites were more than sufficient for a pleasant stay. The room came equipped with modern amenities, including a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, a safe, and fast Wi-Fi, which I found to be very reliable. The bathroom was also well-maintained, with hot water available throughout my stay. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money, providing all the essentials to ensure guests are comfortable.
Location: One of the standout features of this hotel is its unbeatable location in Bukit Bintang. It is a stone’s throw away from key attractions and transport options. The Pavilion Mall, one of the largest and most luxurious shopping malls in the area, is just a short walk away, as are other popular shopping destinations like Fahrenheit 88 and Lot 10. For those relying on public transportation, the MRT and Monorail stations are incredibly close, making it easy to get around the city. You’re truly in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, with endless dining, shopping, and entertainment options right at your doorstep.
Helpful Staff: The service at Sleeping Lion Suites really stood out during my stay. Mr. Alden, who assisted me during check-out, was especially helpful. He ensured the process was smooth and quick, and his friendly attitude made a positive impression. It’s always a pleasure when hotel staff go the extra mile to make your stay more enjoyable.
Additionally, Mr. Radin was extremely helpful when I needed to store my luggage after check-out. He took great care of my belongings and made sure I was comfortable while waiting for my transport. It’s clear that the staff here is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
Final Thoughts: Despite a few negative reviews I had read before my stay, I can confidently say that Sleeping Lion Suites exceeded my expectations. The convenience of the location, the cleanliness of the rooms, the helpful staff, and the overall comfort of the hotel made it a great choice for my trip. I will definitely consider staying here again when I return to Kuala Lumpur, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel in the Bukit...
Read moreThis is a basic but beautiful hotel, it has no restaurant but it doesn’t need one as it’s so close to everything. This is very much a get em in and get em out revolving door operation but for the equivalent of £55 per night for a huge room who cares, lol. The hotel doesn’t claim to be something it’s not or promise of things is doesn’t have ( I’m looking at you Lancaster Bangkok) and most importantly they do not want/need a “incidental deposit” which was an absolute pain for me because most SE Asian countries expect this and also seem to think guests are mind readers and don’t need to convey this in advance so we can budget accordingly and we all have credit cards that we can just whip out and place a “hold deposit” on.||Yes there is a queue at times for the lift but that’s only usually at peak times but the staff are on hand to keep it all in order and it’s no way near as long as a 10 minute wait as some reviews have claimed and I say this as someone who was waiting in line that was snaking out the door on some days. ||Other than if kids are screaming or people talking really loudly in the hallway, the soundproofing in the room is good, AC works well and not too loud, a good selection of channels on the TV although the “smart” function on this didn’t work as it appears as the TVs aren’t connected to the WiFi ||My main criticism would be surrounding the gym/leisure areas. The man handing out the towels at the pool has absolutely no business working with members of the public with that stinking attitude of his, and all because I queried if he had towels for the gym. The next issue is the gym itself, there’s no water fountain, there is no trash can or paper towels and sanitizer to wipe down equipment after use. This is unheard of in ANY gym be it a gym hotel or a local private gym. It’s very unhygienic to say the least and yes there are cleaners that come in to sweep etc but they aren’t there 24/7 ( and shouldn’t be) as i want to be able to wipe down before i use and after i use. Please sleeping lions provide these cleaning items ( and paper towels to wipe our sweating faces if you don’t want to provide actual towels) at a minimum. ||There also isn’t enough equipment for the amount of guests that can access the gym, i believe the gym is shared with the apartments next door so i often found myself waiting to get on cardio equipment which has never ever happened at any hotel gym ( regular home/local gym, definitely but never at a hotel gym no matter the country as there is usually less people...
Read moreThis was my 2nd time booking at this hotel.Check in process: u have to take number for check in. It's like you are going to the Clinic. They'll call your number . This system is exactly like the First world hotel in Genting Highlands. But don't worry the waiting time is very short and the check-in process was very smooth. The staff was very nice They fulfilled my request accordingly. The key card was given only one but I think you can request extra if you want to leave your air-conditioning in your room while you're out. There is no breakfast in this hotel it's a big Hotel to me it resembles the first world hotel in genting Highland everything about it resembles the first world hotel in the Highlands. If you are driving to the hotel worry not because there is a lot of parking there. But there in mind they charged for parking : 3 a.m until 3:00 p.m. the next day is RM10. So you better plan your timing wisely. The room I stayed in was not too big and yet too small but bear in mind there is a smaller room than the one that I stayed in. The toilet there was clean and both of my experiences staying there were good in terms of the cleanliness. For a three star rated Hotel this cleanliness is like five stars. Bite the second time I stayed here the toilet has a little bit of unpleasant smell / not good ventilation. That room was 3004 and I hope the management will read my review so that they could do something with the room. The view from the was spectacular. In both of my stays there I requested the TRX view. And believe me the view was spectacular. The location was amazing it is not too far from TRX mall and it is not too far too from bukit Bintang and Pavilion. I have to say this hotel is super strategic. So you don't have a problem finding food. And no wonder this hotel is full of tourists. There is a small Playground on a level 10th and the view on the level 10 garden is mesmerizing the pool on the 37th floor was nice they have a pool for the kids and they have an infinity pool too for the adults. In my overall experience I couldn't find anything wrong or bad about this hotel. And believe it or not I'm already making plans for my third stay there and I hope my third experience will be no less than the two...
