Hotel Aman is perfect for solo travelers like me who are looking for a budget hotel without necessarily sacrificing comfort.
The location is superb, just across the new TRX mall and a short walk to Fahrenheit88 and Pavilion (about 5 mins). You can even walk to Lot 10 (approx 10 mins). Based on my experience, it was easy to book Grab from the hotel.
I got a Deluxe King Room for 5 nights and it was spacious with excellent air conditioning. The water pressure and hot water from the shower were also excellent. Contrary to other reviews, wifi in my room was working well during my stay.
Be ready to pay RM 100 cash deposit which will be quickly returned to you upon check-out.
Perhaps the area for improvement is the cleanliness. When I entered the room, there were some visible dusts on the furniture and the toilet/shower area, and a tiny hair on the bed. But because I arrived at around 3:00 am and I was already super sleepy, I decided to just quickly clean everything with my wet wipes so I can immediately go to bed. I just hoped that the room was cleaned thoroughly especially that they had plenty of time to prepare it considering I was supposed to check-in at 2:00 pm the day before but because my flight schedule, I arrived 13 hours after the check-in time. The sink was clogged for a while, but after reporting, they were able to fix it.
Also, do note that they don't automatically do everyday room cleaning (at least in my experience). You have to inform the front desk if you wish your room to be cleaned or your towels to be replaced. I noticed this when on the 3rd day, there was no sign of tidying so I requested for it.
Nonetheless, I would have to commend the staff. They were courteous and helpful. I just missed to get his name but kudos to the male staff who went the extra mile and helped me call a local Malaysian number using his own mobile phone because I had to make a reservation.
Overall, this is really value for money especially if you will spend most of your day outside. Will I stay here again if ever I come back to Malaysia? Yes, I will definitely...
Read moreWe booked a 2 bedroom suite over the weekend and when we check in, staff told us no connecting room for us, she will be giving us 2 units of deluxe king. When we asked her are you downgrading us to 2 studio room instead as we paid for a 2 bedroom then she start telling us she dunno why the system did not capture as 2 bedroom after around 15 minutes she managed to assign us to a 1 bedroom suite + studio connecting room. After checked in, the both of the rooms have bad sewage smell we didnt bother to feedback anymore as the staff doesnt seems to be able to give us any other room. The best part, when one of my friend are using the washroom someone open our room door and open her washroom door! They mentioned the staff gave them the same room keycard as we had! Called the front desk he only kept saying sorry and its not his fault cause he just tookover from his colleague. Double check in of guest is really a NO especially we are all ladies here and a guy just came into our room. No action was taken from the hotel and just sorry is the system issue that he couldnt help it which is obviously his colleague fault and not his fault. Staff even told us to go ahead with the review online as it is not his fault. Great teamwork :) and there are construction around, you will get woke up 7plus am by the works around. To be fair, the location is really good, just 5 minutes walk...
Read moreI stayed at Hotel Damai Kuala Lumpur and was genuinely impressed with everything — this hotel truly exceeded my expectations.
Check-in & Lobby: Check-in was smooth and professional. The lobby is elegant and cozy, with a calm atmosphere and premium decor — it genuinely gives off 5-star hotel vibes despite being a budget-friendly option.
Room: The room was spotless, comfortable, and stylishly designed. The bed was large and comfy, and the layout made the space feel open yet cozy. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully arranged.
Facilities & Amenities: The room was fully equipped with everything you could need — iron and ironing board, hair dryer, toiletries including soap, shampoo, and conditioner that actually smelled great and felt high quality. The toiletries set was complete, and I didn’t feel like anything was missing. It’s rare to find this level of preparation in a budget hotel.
Bathroom: Honestly, the bathroom was a highlight — super clean, modern, and well-kept. The shower pressure was perfect, and the cleanliness was on par with what you’d expect in a luxury hotel. No joke — it felt like a 5-star bathroom.
