I waited 15 minutes to get my food. Is this normal in Malaysia? I waited 25 minutes at the Berjaya Times KFC, so this is actually an improvement but..why so long? There was only ONE person working the counter even though the line was getting long. I saw one lady casually wiping trays in the dining area, and I wondered why she couldn't have helped at least put the food on the trays or in bags for takeaway. I felt a little sorry for the lone guy having to work the counter; he clearly was overwhelmed. Also, the floor was sticky, as if someone spilt a soft drink on it. The food...was pretty good. I'm never going back to the KFC at the Berjaya Times, and I'm not sure I would revisit this store or any KFC store again if long waits at KFCs in Malaysia are commonplace. Update: I went to this store again and it was a better experience so I raised my rating from two to three stars. Only a few customers and yet they had two people working at the counter collecting money and putting the order together. I waited less than 5 minutes after placing my order. The floor was cleaner this time. That said, the KFC called out my number in Bahasa and I wasn't sure if it was my order. Why couldn't he have used English, too? Then he left my order sitting there on the counter and walked away. On a hunch I walked up to the counter and asked if it was my order and he just nodded, said nothing and walked away again. I guess being polite is not a prerequisite to employment. In sum, better experience than last time but please train all of your employees to respond to customers with...
Read moreI strongly belive that the KFC head office should really look into this place and should either change management or close down the location immediately. This place is an absolute embarrassment to the KFC brand. The staff on the counter was absolutely rude to guests who came to the counter to order instead of using the digital self ordering system. And to make things quite clear he was not rude towards me but I sat there on one of the tables and observed his rude attitude towards a number of clients as he turned them away from the counter. An absolute discrace to the KFC brand. Now lets talk about cleanliness and hygiene. The place was filthy and disgusting with uncleared tables left unattended and waiting guest had to sit on filthy tables with food all over the floor.
I do not recommend this location to anyone and I'm very disappointed that KFC allows such places to continue operating under...
Read moreI rarely write reviews, but this experience was too frustrating to ignore. I walked into KFC almost one hour before closing time, politely asked for three non-spicy drumsticks, and was flat-out refused. Not "we're out" — just refused.
The staff didn’t even bother checking or offering an alternative. Instead, I was told “we can’t do that”, like I was asking for something unreasonable. It’s literally chicken drumsticks — from a chicken restaurant. How does a KFC not serve what’s on its menu, especially when it’s still open for another 60 minutes?
This wasn’t during a rush. The place was quiet, staff looked uninterested, and clearly more focused on closing early than doing their jobs properly. For a global brand like KFC, this is just lazy service and poor customer care.
Never coming back to this branch. If you can’t even be bothered to serve basic items from your menu,...
